"What the hell were you thinking Elena? Or better yet, were you even thinking at all?" Damon yelled once they were in his room. "You could be dead now. You realize that, right?
"Yes, Damon, I do. You don't need to tell me that. And of course I was thinking, I was thinking about you and Caroline and Bonnie and everyone else Damon. I couldn't let them die for me. They've done enough to protect me by putting themselves at risk, it was about time I did something." she replied.
"You could have told me Elena; you could've asked me for help. You knew I would fix it."
"I know. I trust you Damon, it's just that I didn't trust that vampire."
"So you decided it was better if you just hopped in a plane and flew across the country on your own and all alone." he hissed.
"I get, ok?" she replied, getting a little annoyed because of Damon's persistence.
"Don't ever do that again, ok? Promise me."
"Damon-"
"Elena, promise me." he said, using his serious tone.
"I promise." she gave in, hugging him. "God, I love you so much."
"I love you too." he said back.
"So... we're good now?" she asked while pulling apart with her voice full of hope.
He didn't answer her though, he just smiled at her and devoured her mouth with a passionate kiss that lasted the whole night.
Next day was full of celebration and partying and having fun. They all gathered at the Boarding House -meaning Caroline, Bonnie, Jeremy, Alaric, Tyler, Stefan, Damon and Elena, and even Matt- just to celebrate that, for one, they had won. They were in the parlor of the house when, suddenly, the front door opened widely, revealing a smiling Katherine leaning against the door frame.
"Missed me?" she purred. She walked to the center of the parlor moving her hips seductively, from left to right.
"Ever heard of knocking?" Damon asked, sarcastically.
"Ha ha. You're so funny I almost had a heart attack." she replied.
"What are you doing here, Katherine?" Elena asked, annoyed.
"Well, I thought I should join this little party you're throwing in here, since I'm the life of the party and all. It would be too boring if you just had Damon to entertain you, and since his sense of humor is decreasing, I thought I should light this up. What are we celebrating, by the way?"
"We were celebrating that we didn't have to see your horrible face again." Damon replied.
"Well, too bad Elena's face is just as horrible, since it's the same as mine." she replied with a smile.
"Seriously Katherine, what do you want?" Stefan stepped in, clearly tired of all this game.
"You are no fun, Stefan. Although it wasn't always like that, remember?" she said, winking at him. "Actually, now that you ask Stefan I'm here for you." she replied.
"What do you want me for?"
"Can we talk anywhere but here?" she asked, disgusted.
"Sure." he replied. They climbed up the stairs and went straight to Stefan's room.
"What do you guys think she wants him for?" Bonnie asked.
"Urgh, she's a bitch!" Caroline exclaimed infuriated.
"Caroline, she probably heard that." Elena reminded her.
"I DON'T CARE!!!!" Caroline yelled even more so that Katherine could hear her.
"Well I happen to care since your yelling and screaming are damaging my sensitive ears and my expensive furniture." Damon replied.
"Huh?" Caroline gave him a confused look, before turning back to her vodka.
"Elena, sorry but my shift at the Grill starts in fifteen minutes and I gotta be there." Matt said, all of a sudden. He had to work at the Grill tonight, besides, he didn't feel safe with that Katherine running around the big house.
"It's okay Matt. Thank you for being here for a while." she replied and went to hug him. "Be careful."
"I will. Bye Elena."
"Bye." she replied.
Half an hour later, Damon and Elena where sitting on the couch just cuddling up and hugging and kissing, Caroline and Tyler were drinking and making out and Bonnie, Jeremy and Alaric were talking about school and how did Jeremy live in Seattle. All of their heads turned up when they heard Stefan and Katherine descending the stairs.
And they were holding hands.
"I have decided I'm going to Europe with Katherine." Stefan spoke first.
"Yeah, he's coming with me. We're going to Bulgary and Italy, then a little bit of Greece, Spain, south France, Turkey, you know." she continued.
"Stefan, are you sure?" Damon asked a little worried. He trusted his brother and, honestly, he wanted Stefan far away from Elena for what he had done to Elena -even though he didn't know what that was yet-, but he knew Katherine was a psychotic bitch who could betray Stefan at any moment and leave him hanging.
"Yes, Damon. I'm sure. I need to get away from this town for a while. And I haven't visited neither our home nor Europe itself in a long time so I think I'll take the chance."
"But with her?" Damon insisted, pointing at Katherine with a disgusted look.
"Ha ha. I'm still here, you know?" she replied. But Damon ignored her.
"Well, if you're leaving with her, the sooner you leave the better."
"Don't worry brother, we're leaving now."
Everyone looked at Stefan a little shocked and surprised but he just gave them a smile in response, so they rose from their sits and went to say goodbye to him.
Thirty minutes later, everyone was gone and Damon and Elena were all alone in the boarding house.
"So... what do you want to do?" he asked her. She put her index finger in his chin looking pensive and then just kissed him. He took that as an answer and carried her bridal style all the way to his room.
Once in his room he shut the door behind him with a kick and placed Elena on his bed and him on top of her, never breaking the kiss.
