Chapter 3: Lunch

Joeys POV

I needed to tell someone about me and Shane and how I felt. I obliviously couldn't confide in Shane because I'd only make him feel bad. I didn't let what happen affect our friendship and neither did he we just had completely random conversations. I saw Lisa by her locker, It was my free period and hers too. I decide to talk to her about Shane.

Joey: Hey can I trust you?

Lisa: Yes!

I told her everything. From meeting Shane when I was 10 to our conversation in biology.

Lisa: Im so sorry Joey! I thought Shane had gotten over Ricky by now

Joey: how long has he loved him

Lisa:Since Grade four, so only a bit longer than you've loved him

Joey: Now I see why he didn't feel the same when we met

Lisa: Im sorry

Joey: It's okay. I gotta go, it's lunch and I'm sitting with Shane and the guys

Lisa: Be carful and hang out with Shane Luke And Connor they're all the decent ones

Joey: Bye and thanks!

~At Lunch~

I look for Shane and see him talking with Connor, I'm guessing he cracked a joke because Shane started laughing hysterically.

I wish I could make Shane laugh like that or I wish shane loved me. He must have saw me staring because he called me over.

Shane: Joey! Come over

I ran over and he started introducing me to everyone.

Shane: Luke this is Joey, Joey this is Luke

Luke: Hey Man

He continued to introduce me to JC, Sawyer, Connor and Anthony.

Anthony: Hey dude, you can sit down you don't have to stand there the whole time.

Joey: Oh sorry haha

I say next to Shane and he smiled, I smiled back and we all ate our lunch. It was all meaningless conversations.

Luke: So Joey, since you're new and don't have many friends, how about you come over tonight and we have a little party?

Joey: A Party?

Shane: Luke shut up, Joey it's not really a party me and the guys get together every Friday and have a guys night and then crash at Luke or My place. Lisa and Ingrid will show up for a while but won't stay. You in?

Joey: Yeah sure!

Sawyer: Shane, it's at your house this week since last Friday it was at Luke's

Yes! I not only get to go to Shane's house but I'm staying over!

Shane: Okay cool

Joey: Shane can-

Shane: Get off the bus at my stop and I'll walk you to my house, they guys won't be over till 6, but we can hang out till then right?

This just keeps getting better and better

Joey: Totally!

I tried not to sound too excited.

Shane's POV

I love lunch. Not because I'm with my friends and out of class because I do that during English or "Creative Writing" as the teacher calls it. I don't love lunch because of the food, I don't have lunch. I love lunch because lunch means my next period is gym and gym is the one class I have with Ricky.
