Chapter 11: Ignoring

Joeys POV

I get off the bus and walk towards the school like I do everyday.

Then I see Ricky...

Shane's POV

After first period I see Joey. I smile but he looks terrified, I try to go and see what's wrong but he runs away before I get the chance.

What did I do?

My happy mood goes straight to sad. Does joey hate me now?

The weekend was normal, we watched movies at talked and both had a good time, even on the bus Joey was friendly .

What the hell?

My thoughts were interrupted by Ricky and Luke walking over to me

"Hey buddy" Ricky wrapped his arm around me, it was weird but I didn't think anything of it.

"So wanna see a movie tonight?"

"Who's going?"

"Sawyer, me and Ricky" I wonder why Joey isn't? Maybe they haven't asked him yet

"I'm in!" They both smiled

"Is joey going" Luke says no and I could've sworn I saw Ricky roll his eyes. What's with everyone today? After that We quickly went to our classes, I was late so that meant detention.

I walk in and everyone stares at me. Except Joey, as soon as he saw me his head shot down

"Mr.Dawson, you're la-" I was aggravated and didn't care what she had to say

"Yeah yeah, just give me the detention" she had a surprised look on her face before I went to sit down

I didn't bother sitting next to Joey, he obviously hates me. Even though I did nothing wrong.

I can't believe was actually going to tell him that I loved him.

I sit next to sawyer and the teacher continues to teach whatever today's lesson was on.

The day went on, and Joey continued to ignore me. Then I see Luke and decided to vent as usual.

"Hey you okay" Damn Luke was observant

"No, Joey is ignoring me for legit no reason."

"Maybe he's just having a bad day."

"But we always vent to each other, and he has a crush on me shouldn't that not matter?" Luke's eyes go wide. What the hell

"You knew!" I slowly nod, totally confused.

"Oh, I didn't know he told you, he's like totally in love with you"

"Was"

"You don't know that.." He was wrong. So wrong

"He wouldn't even look at me!" I start to cry and Luke hugs me

"Shhh Shane it's okay"

"I was gonna tell him I love him" I faintly mumble

"What?" I knew he heard me

"I love him, I was gonna tell him but I don't know anymore."

"Shane I'm sorry.." I give him a weak smile and we went to Luke's house.

"So what do you want to do?"

"A movie?"

"Okay! How about we go to the theater and see something!" I don't really feel like going out but it'll distract me

"Okay"

In about 20 minutes we arrive. I walk in and I'm stopped in my tracks when I see him.

Joey and Meghan getting tickets.

I just run out if the theater with no explanation for Luke.

I run to a park and instantly fall down. I was probably there for about 10 minutes before a girl came up to me.

"Are you okay?" I open my eyes to see a beautiful girl. Brown hair with neon purple hi-lights and stunning green eyes like joeys.

"Y-yeah I'm fine." I stand up and begin to walk away

"You can talk to me if you want, who's a better unofficial therapist then a stranger?" I laugh, she's funny and I walk back to her and explain everything, sparing no details.

"Wow. Talk about bad timing"

"I know" I would wait for her to answer but I speak again

"Why are you here?"

"I just moved here from Minnesota and I hate my parents for it"

"I get that. Loosing all your friends."

"Yeah, by the way I never got your name"

"Shane. What about you?"

"McKenna." That's a really pretty name.

Don't worry McKenna isn't gonna be a long term crush probably for a chapter or two.

But yeah what happened with Joey ..?

You'll have to wait to find out

Anyway I just decided to say "screw it" to my schedule bc I don't like rules lol
