Chapter 10: Breakup

Shane's POV

I got home from joeys and was contemplating how to break up with Ingrid

I'm going to do it privately and I might as well do it now because its only 6 and not too late

//Texting//

Shane: Hey Ingrid

Ingrid: Hi!

Shane: Can you come over?

Ingrid: sure! Be over soon xx

//End texting//

I was pacing back and forth waiting for her to come. The knock on the door startled me and I opened the door shaking

"Hey" she gave me a hug and I was hesitant to hug back

"Wanna sit?" I let her over to the couch, took her hands and looked her in the eyes

"Ingrid...I'm sorry but I can't continue this.." I looked down as she spoke

"W-why not?" I toolmaker deep breath

"It wouldn't be fair to you if we kept dating, I don't see a future with us, I'm sorry" I began to cry. Ingrid and I were close and we lost that today. I kissed her on the forehead and walked away into my room until I heard her leave.

I feel awful but relived at the same time. Although I hate seeing one of my closest friends hurt, I'm glad I didn't keep it going for too long.

I decide to call Joey and tell him the news

Shane: Hey Joey

Joey: Shane! I didn't expect to hear from you this soon

Shane: I did it..

Joey: Are you okay?

Shane: Yeah I'm fine I just feel terrible

Joey: That's normal Shane, you know you hurt her and even though you don't care for her in that way, you care for her none the less

Shane: Thanks Joey! Wanna meet in out spot?

Joey: Yeah! Be there in ten

Shane: Okay bye!

Joeys POV

I love how Shane called it "our place" it just made me feel special to him. I knew I was, we're best friends

I met Shane in ten minutes like I said I would. This was our thing, if we felt sad we'd meet here

"Hey Shane" I greeted him with a hug and he hugged back. We hugged longer than we should have but I didn't mind and I think Shane liked it

She let go and smiled. I had an idea...

"Hey Shane?" He looked at me and smiled

"Yeah Joey?" With that I picked him up and started running towards the lake while he screamed

"JOEY JOEY NO STOP!" I laughed an threw him in the lake as payback

"Payback!" As he got out he glared at me while I laughed, Shane said I could sleep over so we went to my house first to get his change of clothes for school tomorrow

"Do you want to take off your shirt, shoes and Socks? Ya know so you're not soaking wet in my house?" Shane smirked

"Joey you just want to see me shirtless" he winked and I blushed as usual

It was true, I wanted to see him shirtless but I was being serious

"But in all seriousness do you want to?"

"Nah my clothes are almost dry anyway"

Shane's POV

I just remembered I never told Joey about me self harming, although its been a while I have scars I don't want to explain tonight

We made it from his to my house

"Hey mom! Joey is sleeping over." I yelled to my mom as we went upstairs

"You can use the same air mattress you used last time." I was going to offer him my bed, like I do with Luke a lot but I thought it'd be weird, but then I rethought it

"Or we could share I bed, air mattresses suck" joeys face lit up and I smirked

Joeys POV

Yes! Shane and I will be sleeping in the same bed! I know that he does that with Luke but its still cool

"Wanna watch a movie?" Shane was already looking through them so I sat down on hi bed while he put in a movie

"What did you pick?" Shane let out a devilish smile

"Oh ya know...The Conjuring"

"SHANE! You know that I can't do scary movies!"

"Yeah I know, that's why I picked it" I glared at him and he laughed

We watched the movie and I got so scared I gripped on him the entire time, I don't think he even watched the movie because he was laughing at me the whole time

So, I currently won't post on the weekends mainly so i can write a bunch on Saturday and Sunday. But anyway let me know what you think, should I post two new stories? Do you not like the schedule. I only made it so that way I won't over post on one story more than the other.

In other news, is this chapter too short? I got sick last night and basically just fun finished it and went to sleep so sorry :(
