The Assassin of the Mist!!

(Kazumi's P.O.V.)

I didn't really look back at the others because I could still feel their stares and it was all because I had to sing. But then again, I was really bored. I couldn't take the darkness anymore and shut my eyes and I felt myself going to sleep.

(In her dream)


"Hello?" I called as it echoed through the walls that was painted black with a red trim and some white spots here and there but it had a fancy decoration theme and there was a single red couch that was currently occupied by someone in a cloak.
"Who're you?" I asked as he looked up, he still had his hood on so I couldn't see his face but he was looking right at me and since he was so mysterious I went up to him and reached my hand out to take his hood off but he grabbed my hand and stopped me before I could.

He sat up from the chair and still had my wrist caught in his hand and wasn't letting go.
"Can you let my arm go now?" I asked but he only scoffed as I tried to remove my hand and he only squeezed it tighter and tighter with every attempt I took.
"Let me go!" I said really trying to get away but he didn't move and inch. He used his free hand and grabbed the hood of his cloak with the other gripping it tightly and slowly pulled it down. he looked really familiar. He had black hair tied into a ponytail and he had really deep red eyes with lines on his face. It took me a minute until I realized who I was staring at.


"I-Itachi" I asked reaching my hand out to touch him and see if he was real, by this point I was already crying but I felt relieved at the same time. He gently wrapped his arms around me and I was holding him tightly.
"Kazumi" he said making me look up at him but he looked at me almost bored but in his eyes he was surprised and happy.
"It's been a while"
"Itachi, why did you have to go?" I sobbed into his cloak while he stroked my hair
"I couldn't face Sasuke and you after what I did"
"But I missed you so much" I said
"But when I left you hated me even more than Sasuke did, even his hatred for me now was little compared to what you felt" he said as I looked up to him confused.
"I know what you feel. I'm the Itachi in your head, I know what he feels and I know what you feel since I'm in you" he explained
"What was the reason?" I asked but he looked away
"I can't tell you that yet"
"But why? You killed our clan and you don't even want to say why?" I asked frustrated
"When you are able to accept the truth, then I'll tell you" he said
"But how can I accept the truth if I don't know what it is?"
"You just have to wait, when the truth comes it will be when I know you can handle it. And right now, that's not the case"
"But Itachi—"
"Kazumi" he said in a stern tone making me look up at him
"You have to wait. You can't handle the truth of it just yet. Be patient and it may even come sooner than you think" he said as I took a deep breath and nod my head.
"Now I need to leave" he said walking away
"But, you barely got here" I protested
"You can't stay asleep forever" he said as I look at him confused until I realized we were nowhere. I made an 'Oh' face finally realizing. He chuckled and started walking away from me into the distance.
"Bye.....Itachi" I sniffled.

(End of dream)


"Tazuna" said a voice as I looked up rubbing my eyes trying to adjust to the new light
"We've been very fortunate. No one has noticed us so far" said the guy rowing the boat
"Nice going" he complimented. We finally reached the town and got off at one of the ports and got off the boat
"That's as far as I go. Good luck" he said going off
"Right. Thank you for taking such a risk. Just be careful" said Tazuna as we left
"Ok, take me to my home and I mean get me there in one piece" he said as we walked off
"Right" muttered Kakashi as we went off again and Naruto rushed to the front of the group and looked around waiting for something.
"Hmmm.....Over there!" he yelled throwing a kunai at a tree. When we looked closer there was nothing there
"Ohh, it was just a mouse" said Naruto quietly
"A mouse?! Yeah right, everyone can see through your act. It's so obvious it's embarrassing" said Sakura ticked off.
"Naruto, those are kunai knifes. They're dangerous" said Kakashi as Tazuna was trying to calm himself down from the mini heart attack Naruto gave him.
"Stop trying to scare me you scruffy little dwarf!" yelled Tazuna really mad.
"Hey, is someone hiding over there? No wait, they're over there" he said looking around frantically
"Over there!" he yelled again throwing it into the bushes.
"That's it Naruto!" yelled Sakura hitting him upside the head
"What did you do that for? Somebody is following us, I mean it!" he yelled holding his head where Sakura hit him
"Yeah right! Quit lying and acting like a dumb kid!" she scolded
"Naruto! Look what you did!" yelled Sakura as they walked up to the bush and saw it was just a little white rabbit frozen in terror
"A rabbit! Ahh! Oh, I'm sorry little rabbit. I'm sorry!" he apologized over and over nuzzling it's face.
"All this fuss over a rodent?" asked Tazuna not amused he asked but something was not right. There was a scent in the air that I did not recognize, this one had a lot of chakra and he didn't smell like he was too far away. Apparently they had been following us this whole time and so far no one noticed. Maybe Kakashi but if I warned him right now and if the others heard, it might cause a panic. I can't tell him just yet, maybe if I get close to him I can tell him from there but I have to time it right and wait for the right time. Mist started surrounding us and it was getting heavy.

"Hey, hold on. Where's Kazumi?" he asked as everyone glanced around and didn't notice I was in the front
"Uh-oh. If we left her behind she's going to kill us" muttered Naruto darkly he said as most gulped or sweat dropped in agreement
"She's going to kill us? She looks even weaker than you, she kicked butt for those other ninja yeah but she wasn't against a high rank ninja, and doesn't talk as much, how could she kill us?" asked Tazuna in disagreement
"You don't know how scary Kazumi can be when she's either left out or when she's in a bad mood" muttered Naruto darkly as the others shivered when they remembered what I did to that chunin, I wasn't mad but that's just how I fight.
"Naruto.." I muttered with a sweat drop on my head
"I'm right here...." I said as they all looked ahead and squinted until it looked like they saw me
"Kazumi" shouted Naruto in relief putting a hand over his chest calming his heart down.
"How did you not notice me?.." I asked as we continued walking again
"There was a lot of mist and we couldn't see you. We thought you were lost" said Sakura. 'Why is there so much mist? It's only getting heavier the farther we go' I thought to myself as we keep going forward.
"Look out!!" yelled Kakashi as we dove down to the ground as a giant sword was thrown right as us but got caught in the tree behind us and a mysterious man pops out standing on the sword looking down at us.
"Well, well. If it isn't Zabuza Momochi. Rouge ninja from the village hidden in the mist" said Kakashi coming closer to him, Naruto looked excited and ran towards him as I was going to stop him Kakashi put his hand in front of him to keep him from moving
"You're in the way, get back" he said
"But why?!"
"He's not like those other ninja. He's in a whole other league. If he's our opponent I'll need this" he said reaching for his head band in front of his eye. We looked at him in seriousness wondering what he was doing.
"Kakashi of the sharingan eye. Did I get that right?" asked Zabuza
I had to look again before I gasped in surprise standing back, how the hell he had the sharingan eye was beyond me. 'But what the hell happened to him? Only a few members of the Uchiha's have the sharingan. That would mean he would be an Uchiha. That's impossible. We were slaughtered! No one but me and Sasuke were left behind' I thought to myself.

"It's too bad huh? You'll have to hand over the old man" he said looking right at us
"Now quick! Monchi formation! Protect the bridge builder!" he yelled as we all got into place

"And stay out of this fight. I taught you team work, now it's time to use it" he added removing his mask revealing a scar and just like he said, the sharingan eye.
"Well, looks like I get to see the sharingan in action. This is an honor" said Zabusa
"Everyone keeps saying sharingan, sharingan!! Will someone please tell me what sharingan is?!" yelled Naruto getting upset.
"Sharingan, a rare power. It resides in the eyes. The user of this visual jutsu, or dojutsu, can instantly see and comprehend any genjutsu, taijutsu, and ninjutsu. And reflect the attack back, the sharingan is a special rare form of dojutsu. However, there's more to the sharingan than that. A lot more" Sasuke responded but Naruto looked more confused than before
"You got it right boy. But you only scratched the surface, the sharingan can analyze an opponent's technique. And then, copy it to the smallest detail" said Zabuza finishing it for him as the mist gets thicker and thicker. I personally don't have a problem with it because he's supplying me my ammo. I use water jutsu and obviously the mist is water vapor. It supplies me my energy.
"As for you, jounin. In the assassination unit of the hidden mist. We had a standing order to destroy you on sight. Your profile is in our bingo book, they called you the man who copied over a thousand jutsu. Kakashi, the copy ninja"
"Wow! That's so cool!!" yelled Naruto excited
"Enough talking. I need to exterminate the old man" said Zabuza grasping the handle of his sword and looking like he's ready to pounce. But we were all in front of Tazuna.
"So, I'll have to eliminate you first, eh Kakashi? So be it" he said as Kakashi narrowed his eyes and prepared himself for the fight. Zabuza had taken the sword out of the tree and vanished into the mist, but even though he had a strong scent, he was hard to detect in his mist because it spread his scent through the mist.
"He's over there!" yelled Naruto looking at where he was pointing and there was Zabuza standing on the water making a hand sign in the air.
"Standing on the water" yelled Sakura
"Ninja art. hidden mist jutsu" he said disappearing into thin air
"He vanished"
"Sensei?" asked Sakura
"He'll come after me first"
"But who is he?" asked Sakura, but was she seriously not listening to the conversation we had just a minute ago? Or was she in Sasuke-land again?
"Zabua Momochi, the ex-leader of the hidden mist assassination unit. He's a master of the silent killing technique"
"S-silent?" asked Naruto nervously
"As the name suggests, it happens in an instant without a sound or warning of any kind. It's so fast you pass from this life without even realizing what happened. The sharingan can not fully neutralize it. So don't lower your guard" he warned us
"Well, if we fail we only lose our lives" said Kakashi
"How can you say that?!"
"The mist is getting thicker and thicker" said Naruto
"The land of waves is surrounded by the ocean" said Tazuna
"Sensei" said Sakura as we all tensed up waiting for him to show his face.
"Eight points"
"Ehh! What's that?!" asked Sakura
"Larynx, spine, lungs, liver, jugular, artery, kidneys, heart. Now, which will be my attack point?" he asked as Kakashi made a hand sign and the mist was starting to clear. Sasuke was having a really hard time coping with the situation and grabbed his kunai and held it at an angle. I put my hand on his arms and he looked back at me a little scared and I gave him a sympathetic look holding his hand down a bit until he calmed down a little.
"Sasuke, calm down. I'll protect you with my life. All of you. I will not allow my comrades to die. Trust me" he said grinning at us under his mask.
"I wouldn't be so sure" said Zabuza as I got a whiff of his scent and he was right behind us and in front of Tazuna and no one saw that he was ready to strike down on the old man. I used that opportunity and took my katana out from my holster and held it out just before he could touch his hair and he narrowed his eyes at me which I gladly returned.
"You brat. You are a mystery, you haven't said a word the entire time. Except for when the kid didn't see you through my mist. You're so quiet and you move like the wind, but you're still a kid. Still I think since I'm facing someone else who has a sword also. Maybe not as good as mine, but still counting as a sword this is going to be a good fight" he said. Sasuke finally saw him behind me and took out his kunai and swung at Zabuza but he just dodged moving away smirking at us under his mask.
"But...it's over" he said as Kakashi turned to us and activated the sharingan and came right at us passing by me and going right to Zabuza stabbing a kunai from his stomach and instead of blood, water just came pooling out to the ground as the real Zabuza came up behind him
"Ahh! Sensei. Behind you!!" yelled Naruto trying to warn him as the clone turned into a pile of water and as Zabuza swung his sword in the air and down on Kakashi, cutting him in half and again everyone started to freak out. But he was definitely alive. I could still smell him. 'Remind me to thank Kiba a million times over when we get home' I thought to myself as Kakashi's water clone disappeared and the real one came out and put a kunai at Zabuza's throat.
"Don't move." threatened Kakashi darkly
"Now it's over" he said as we all watched in awe of what he was doing to the 'Great' Zabuza Momochi. He has his moments where he's kinda cool, but usually it's when you don't think about when he shoved his fingers up Naruto's butt and when you actually see him fight for real instead of sticking his face in that perverted book.

'Oh well, he is my sensei' I thought as we just watched in amusement.
