A New Chapter Begins: The Chunin Exam!

(Kazumi's P.O.V.)

It's already been at least a week since I woke up and during that time when I needed to rest I wanted to go out and train and Sasuke had to check and see if I was in my room almost twice an hour. I really wanted to do something other than sleep and when I tried wither Sasuke or my body would betray me and tell me I needed rest. Finally today I get to meet with the group again and go on missions, no doubt they're gonna be D-rank missions but it's something for me to do.

"Ah~Sasuke! You're here" squealed Sakura and I sweatdrop at her eagerness
"You're looking much better Kazumi, a lot better than the last time I saw you" said Sakura. I nodded
"Hey, good morning Sakura what's up?" asks Naruto coming up behind us. I looked over seeing him just as eager to start the day
"Hey! Kazumi!" he yelled coming up next to me and hugging me as I patted his head
"Good to see you're ok, you gave us a big scare when I last saw you" he said and he looks past me scowling. I turn around and he's glaring at Sasuke as Sasuke is returning it until they 'hmph' and turn away from each other. I sigh at their behavior. No more than 4 hours later we hear something above us
"Hey guys, good morning. Sorry I'm late, I got lost on the path of life" said Kakashi sensei sitting on a pillar of the small bridge as Sakura and Naruto get angry and growl at him
"I'm ready for the next ninja mission sensei, and hey! Come on, no more of this dumb beginners stuff all day. I want a chance to prove myself! I'm talking a real mission where I can show what I'm made of! I gotta break out and burn it out! See?!" he yells getting in Kakashi sensei's face
"Uhhhh, right. I get it, that's great Naruto. Now take it easy would ya?" he asks as Naruto turns back around to glare at Sasuke who's not even paying attention until he notices a very jealous aura from Naruto as he glares back at him while Sakura looks like she wants nothing more than to hit him.
"Believe it!" he yells
"Let us know when you're done fantasizing Naruto so we can start the mission alright?"
"Right!" he says
"Could you not be so annoying Naruto? Just for once?" asks Sakura as Kakashi sensei leads us to a big lady's house where she asks us to pull weeds from her garden. Finishing my side early I decide to help Sakura seeing that Sasuke is doing just fine.
"Hey you!" says the big lady right next to Naruto trembling in anger
"Oh, hi lady. I got rid of all your weeds, pretty cool huh? Uh, what's wrong?" he asks
"You pulled the weeds, and you also pulled up my plants. Those were special herbs I've been growing and you destroyed them!" she yells as she hits Naruto in the face with him flying back into her garden and tried to stand up only to fall down and sit on some of the fruits growing in her other garden making the lady even madder.
"I'm very sorry for Naruto, he hasn't had much experience with herbs and fruits. If you would like we can help you replant what he destroyed" I suggested as she looks at Naruto in anger
"Never mind, but he owes me new seeds to replace what he destroyed"
"I agree that would be fair" I said as we took off before Naruto gave her money to repay her for messing up her garden as Kakashi lead us to a near by river saying we needed to clean up the trash left behind in the river and gave us all trash bags to pick up the garbage until I stopped them. I did a sand sign falling into the water making my body into water looking at the bottom of the river covered in trash. I pick up cans and water bottles throw them out of the water where Sasuke holds out a garbage bag catching all the trash with the bag as I also throw wrappers and containers at Sakura doing the same thing and toss whatever is left over to Naruto.
"Come on Kazumi! Go faster, I can handle it!" yells Naruto as I throw more trash at him and he starts to struggle catching it all until a rock comes at him hitting him in the head and he starts to tumble over falling into the river as the river is headed to a cliff and I stop grabbing garbage and grab him by his ankle catching him upside down. Dragging him over to the others he gasps for breath.
"You are such a loser" said Sasuke as Naruto grits his teeth. Kakashi sensei takes us to another house where they ask us to walk their dogs, with Naruto taking the biggest dog that drags him everywhere.
"Hey! Hey! Not fair, we're supposed to go the other way! Hey, I'm talking to you!" he yells
"What a loser"
"Of course, he just has to chose the biggest dog"
"Poor Naruto" I mutter as the dog drags him behind more leading him into a mine field with lots of explosions going off as Naruto comes out all burned and looking totally beat up with the dog in perfect health. I hold out my hand and he comes over to me sniffing my hand until he licks my hand letting me pet him on his head. We head back to the house and give them their dogs back walking back home with Naruto being supported by Sasuke and Sakura holding onto his arms holding him up.
"Look at you, you're hopeless Naruto" said Sakura
"Hmph, you really are just one big problem" says Sasuke as Naruto grits his teeth glaring at Sasuke
"Grrrrr! Sasuke!" he yells getting ready to attack until Sakura held out her arm stopping him
"If you keep this up I'll finish you off myself" threatens Sakura as Sasuke leaves with me trailing behind him
"Guess we're not making any progress on the team work thing are we?"
"That's right, our team work is messed up all because of you Sasuke! You think you're better than everyone else?!"
"Not everyone, just you. Face it, I'm better and stronger than you are. It's a fact, unless you have what it takes to prove me wrong" he says as I nudge him in the ribs to stop, but he still continues to glare at him
"Alright guys, let's call it a day, you can beat each other to a pulp some other time. Anyway, I have to file my report on this mission" says Kakashi
"Whatever, we're out of here" says Sasuke as he nudges me to follow
"Wait! Sasuke, I'll go with you guys" she says trying to catch up
"So, why don't we....I-I mean..you know..let's do something more personal, I mean to improve our team work and all" she suggests as I sweat drop. She doesn't even remember I'm standing next to Sasuke and that did not sound right to me.
"I swear, you're just as bad as Naruto. Instead of flirting why don't you practice your jutsu and make the team stronger, let's face it. You're actually worse than Naruto" he says walking away again but my back feels lighter than before and I realize I left my backpack with Naruto after I helped him with the dogs.
"I need to grab my bag from Naruto, I'll be back" I said walking back over to where Naruto was and there was a guy with weird face paint and a girl holding a giant fan on her back. The boy with the face paint was holding Konohamaru by his scarf. I casually walk over and walk up behind him tapping him on the shoulder moving out of his line of sight taking Konohamaru out of his hands before he turned around to nothing there.
"Kazumi!" yells Naruto as I put him down and he runs to his friends and I turn around to see the face painted boy look at me weirdly.
"You're pretty hot, you aren't with any of these leaf genin punks are you?" he asks slinging his arm around my shoulder and I stiffen before exhaling slapping his hand off my shoulder
"Yes, and I would appreciate it if you didn't hurt them. At least not until we need to be tested" I said remembering Kakashi sensei tell me something about the chunin exams. As far as I know, genin from lots of hidden villages come to be tested to be chunin, and right now that is the most likely reason they're in the leaf village.
"Aw, but these guys are wimps and there's no way you could be with them. How about you stay with me until the stupid test is done, I'll keep you better company than those losers" he said taking his arm putting it around my waist trying to pull me closer barely getting an inch from me.
"Kankuro, knock it off. We came here for something more important than trying to find a girlfriend" said the girl behind him and when I looked over I remembered I met her before.
"Hello Temari, it's good to see you again" I said and she looked at me studying me before she seemed to remember
"Oh, I remember you. You were that girl I used to hang out with in the sand village" she said and I nod smiling a little
"What?! How the heck do you know these jerks?!" yells Naruto
"When I turned 11 Kakashi said he was going on a mission and I begged him to let me come, we compromised saying if I stayed near him at all times and kept myself out of trouble that I could go with him. Since it was a C rank mission anyway, it wasn't dangerous to let me come so I left to go with him while I took a week off from the academy and went to the hidden sand meeting Temari spending time with her until it was time to go home" I finished
