I invited Sammy over to my house, because, man, I have a story for her. When she got here, she let me know by texting me "Haven't you people ever heard of OPENING the god damn door?!" If you couldn't tell, that was a Panic! At the Disco lyric, just manipulated a little bit.
I open the door to invite her in and hug her with a big smile on my face, extremely excited to tell her about what happened. At first, she goes to the kitchen to grab something to drinky, but pushes me when she sits down on the couch, "Ok, well you said you wanted to show me something. What is it?"
"Holy shit, you are NOT going to believe this..." I exclaim.
She patiently waits for whatever I wanted to show her, and I stand by my brown coffee table that has two remotes, a napkin holder, and lily in a vase on it. I aim my hand at the T.V remote, close my eyes, and try to concentrate. I open my eyes and slowly start to lift the remote off of the table while guiding my hand upwards for the remote to follow. One quick glance at Sammy and I can see her amazement. Her jaw drops and she won't move, her eyes as big as dish plates. I can tell that she's in disbelief similar to what I felt when I first figured it out.
I set the remote down with an ear-to-ear smile. I look at Sammy and she stares right back. "Y-you..... H-have...... Telekinesis?" She managed to ask. She, like me, is a super hero fanatic who knows many different superpowers and their names, telekinesis being one of them.
"Yep." I reply, unsure of how this will turn out. Maybe I should've thought about this a bit more before randomly showing one of my easily excitable friends an ability I just found out I had yesterday.
Huh. Well, you don't learn if you don't make mistakes.
She stands up and hugs me, with a strength I never knew she had. "Holy shit! You have powers! How the hell did that happen?!"
I explain to her the story and lead her through the chain of events that happened throughout the house. Once I'm done, it almost seems like she's star-struck. "Wow. Does anyone else know?" She asks
"Nope, just you."
She then exclaimed, "YAY, I'M SPECIAL!" Throwing her hands up into the air.
"You're already special." I assure her, chuckling a bit at her reaction.
"So are you planning on telling anyone else?"
"Not really. Except Serena." I've been thinking about who I really want to tell, but for now it will only be those two. Once I feel more comfortable, I might tell Taren or Lina, but that'll be it.
"Well of course, she's your sister."
Serena's my sister, as you can see. She's basically my other half, we've been through a lot together. She's the only other one that I REALLY trust with this secret. Yeah, you heard me - I don't even trust my own mother with this. My mom would probably freak out much more than necessary, and I don't want to have to go through that. Plus, she would end up worrying about me even more than she already does.
