It's been about two weeks with my powers and, thanks to Sammy, I have gained more control over them. I still get random outbursts now and then, but it's getting much better. I have kept myself on the down-low for a while, making sure I don't do anything stupid. Yet again, Sammy has helped a lot with that.

I had finally told Serena about my new found abilities, but it didn't quite go as I thought it would. Here's how it went.

--------------- Flashback------------

Serena arrives home on a Sunday night from her friend Alex's house. I wait anxiously at the door, knowing it will probably freak her out when I tell her. As she walks in, she notices my worried expression right away.

"Savannah, are you ok? You look really upset." Serena asks.

"Yeah, I'm fine," I say as casually as I can, "I just really need to tell you something, and I don't know how you're gonna react."

She pauses herself and looks like she's going into deep thought. Her grimace soon turns into a bright smile. "You've finally developed your gift, haven't you?"

"What? What do you mean my 'gift'?" I'm very confused here.

"You're power! You've finally developed it haven't you? So what'd you get? Invisibility? Flying? Maybe even weather control?"

"Wait a second, how do you know all this?"

"Because I have it too! And so does grandma! The gifts carry on throughout every other generation. Soooo what do you have?" I listen intently, barely comprehending all that she's saying.

"I have telekinesis. What about you?" I'm still very shocked she has a 'gift' as well.

"Cool! I have vapokinesis! I can control water. Freeze, boil, levitate, manipulate." She nods her head as she says this.

She proceeds to grab a glass of water and show me cool things with the water inside. She actually makes it fly out of the cup. I show her my power by levitating pots and pans from the kitchen. It's nice to know that there's someone else who can do these things.

------------End Flashback-----------

As I walk into third period, Band, I notice there's much less people than there usually is. Oh that's right, everyone in Dr. Brogie's Bio class is on a field trip, I remember. I continue to go set up my saxophone by the light green-painted wall. There are three saxophones in my section, and I'm the head of this section. Kyle, the guy who normally sits between me and Lucas, is gone with that one Biology class. Lucas is the last of the section and since Kyle sits between me and Lucas, I've never really talked to him. This should be interesting.

Knowing that Kyle is gone, we end up sitting right next to each other. We start talking.

"Hey, I don't really get to talk to you because of Kyle, how are you?" Lucas starts.

"I'm actually pretty good, thanks for asking. How 'bout you?" I respond.

"I've had a pretty good day,"

We continue the small talk, and for a moment I actually forget about my new-found powers. That is, until the teacher starts class. He sounds like a pretty nice, funny guy. Glad I got to talk to him.

After class is lunch. I sit with Sammy and my other friends Lina, Val, and Taren. We talk about nonsense, like we usually do, and somehow end up on the topic of superpowers.

"Wouldn't it be fuckin' awesome to have superpowers?!" Val asks rhetorically, "Like seriously, it would be awesome if I had pyrokinesis."

"NOOO NO PYRO FOR YOU!" Taren yells, "Knowing you, you'd probably burn down the empire state building."

I glance at Sammy, with a slightly worried expression, and whisper, "Should I tell them? I mean, they're really good friends too... I know not many people should know, but still..."

"If you want to, but it would be kind of a risk."

"I know... maybe I'll just tell Taren. She's the most trustworthy out of all of them. She also might not make as much of a scene as the other two." I giggle a little after that remark.

"Ok, meet us in the back after school where we usually hang out so I can help." Sammy suggests.

"Alright, will do."

Lunch continues, talking about nonsense again. The rest of the day goes smoothly and then Sammy, Taren, and I meet at the back of the school.

"Savannah, what are you doing here? You usually leave right after school." Taren sounds surprised.

"Yeah, well I had to tell you something really important. I'll tell the others eventually, but you seem the calmest." I answer.

"Oh, ok. Well what is it?"

"Oh you're gonna love this..." Sammy adds.

I take a binder out of my backpack and set it on the ground. I notice Taren looks confused as hell, so I say "Just watch." And she does so as I slowly lift the binder off the ground with my telekinesis. Her jaw drops as I spin the binder in the air, having a little more fun than I should, being out in the open.

"Oh damn..." Taren finally says. "Y-you... have powers?"

"Yeah." I drag on the word, making end like a question.

"THAT'S AWESOME!" She yells. Dang, she's more like Sammy than I thought.

"I KNOW RIGHT?!" Sammy replies.

"But DON'T tell anyone... I can't have the whole school knowing about this. Only a select few people which I will tell."

"OK DEAL." She was still really excited.

Ok. Two down, two to go.
