As Andy stares at me, I know I have to think fast. Luckily, we didn't make direct eye contact, and she can't see Josie's face, so I play it off like I had told her a joke and start laughing. After laughing, I finally look Andy in the eye and, with a big smile, I wave at her.
Hopefully that worked.
She immediately smiles back, trying to keep the reputation that she's a ray of sunshine. I'm immediately thankful that I'm good at acting.
"I should go, Andy's getting suspicious..." I tell Josie.
"I can tell." She says matter-of-factly.
I walk away from her and begin the search for my sister. After a few minutes, I find her with Kayla and Harper, talking nonchalantly with them. I walk up to her, tap her on the shoulder, and droop my eyes as if I was sleepy.
"Serena, we should go. I'm getting tired." I say, then fake-yawn.
"Yeah, we should get to bed. See you guys later!" Serena replies while saying her goodbyes. We start heading toward the door.
"Bye Serena!" They shout back, almost in unison.
"You're gonna have to lead me out of here, because I can't remember a damn thing about how we got through this maze." I inform Serena. She chuckles, then grabs me by the wrist and leads me back the way we came.
Once we are out of the creepy building, I try to talk to her about my interaction with Josie. She was curious to listen to every word during our drive back home.
"Then I ran over to find you." I finish my explanation.
"Dang, that's.... really weird..." She says, "Why would she be just blankly staring at you?"
"I don't know, I think it has something to do with how Josie was hiding something from me that she saw. I don't think Andy wants whatever Josie saw to get out." I finish my theory.
"Well, what ever it is, we have to find out what's going on before people possibly get hurt." Serena says, "And our first plan of action should be talking to Josie. Maybe see if we can get her to talk about whatever she saw."
I nod my head and notice Serena pull into our driveway and park.
"Ok, well I'm tired so we gotta hurry up and sneak inside before I pass out." I tell her.
"Yeah, let's get inside. Remember to be quiet, though."
I make the face as if I was saying "well, duh." We quietly sneak into our apartment, and go our separate ways to our bedrooms. I fall face first onto my bed and not long after, I fall asleep.
----------Time Skip----------
It's Friday morning and I'm hanging out with Lucas and Sammy. I want to tell them about yesterday, so I can't have anyone else around to hear it.
I start talking about the night before, and how sketchy the whole "super-group" is, especially Andy. Both of them listen out of sheer curiosity and worry.
"I already talked to Serena about this, and we already came up with a plan. It's just a really weird situation that I never thought I'd be in, you know?" I explain tiredly. After all, I didn't come home and get to sleep until about 1:00 a.m.
"Hey, it's gonna be ok. Problems figure themselves out, they always do. In one way or another." Lucas comforts me, giving me a kiss on the top of my head.
"Yeah, and whatever happens, we're always here for you." Sammy adds.
They give me a small group hug, and I tell them, "Aww, thanks guys. I'm so glad I have you two to help me through stressful times."
