I was terrified. I couldn't think or move anymore, I was just paralyzed. Small parts of my life were coming to my mind. I was remembering things I did with my brother and adventures I had with the other town kids. It was all crumbling down, I was dying. The man in front of me wasn't a human, he was heartless.

Would he literally kill me? Im twelve for gods sake!

"Your gonna regret what you did you little bitch." The man said coldly. Almost happily.

The guy that was with me before was trying to stand up. There's was blood on his fingers. He looked at his hand then up at the man pointing a gun at me. Even though I couldn't see his face, I could feel his anger growing. He got up slowly trying not to make noise. He crept up behind the man with the gun.

"Your gonna come with me and think about what you've done." The man in front of me said.

He approached me and reached over to grab my arm. I tried pushing away buy the wall was right behind me so I couldn't move back. The guy that was with me jumped on the man with the mask pulling him slightly backwards. Although he distracted him, his attack wasn't very effective. The man with the mask jerked sideways and threw the other guy on the floor roughly. He groaned but stood back up. In a matter of seconds they were both throwing punches and drawing blood. They fell on the floor still punching at each other. The guy that was with me was loosing. He was much smaller in size than the man with the mask. He was getting brutally beat up.

"ARGH!!" The guy that was protecting me was dying. He was bleeding intensely.

I didn't realize when I stood up but I did. I looked over at the other men that came in the room at the beginning. They were standing there like statues. Like they knew that their leader was going to win, they were his audience. I debated weather I should go help the guy trying to protect me or just stay out of it. I didn't think long enough before I heard him screaming in pain.

My hands managed to ball uo small enough , slipping out of one of the cuffs and freeing myself. I ran towards the huge men fighting and gave one swift punch to whoever I could reach. I closed my eyes tight and yelled. I heard a man's voice yell and then get choked up. I opened my eyes and saw the man with the mask on the floor coughing and holding his neck.

Did I do that?

The other men that were watching quickly rushed over to him and tried to help. I was watching them when a strong force pulled me backwards and out of the room. I looked back and it was the guy with the bandanna that tried to help me. He rushed me out of the building and ran towards the woods. He wouldn't stop, and he didn't let go of me. After what seemed like forever he stopped. He was panting really hard. He leaned against a tree and cradled my small body against his chest like a baby.

"I'm....(gasp)....so sorry." He said, breathing heavily trying to resist passing out.

He slid down and sat on the ground. He bent his knees and opened them a bit to put me in between. He hugged me with his legs and put his hands on my head and shoulder, pulling me against his chest. I felt safe. I felt safe next to a total stranger that almost died trying to save me. I felt his heart beating fast and hard. I looked up and saw half his face. His bandanna had fallen to his neck. His lip and nose were bleeding really badly. But I noticed something else. He looked young. Really young.

No wonder he looked smaller next to the rest of the men. He was only a boy still. And he risked his life for me. For a strange little girl he didn't know.

I'd forgotten completely of everything else until a pounding pain started on my hand. I looked down to see my knuckles were bleeding. The cuff that remained on my wrist had tightened to the point where my blood was no longer flowing to my hand.
