OK. I can explain. The reason for the late update is that I am right now on holiday for a week (I am sitting in the airport lounge typing this right now), so I might not update that often. But don't worry it's just a week, once I get back I will return to my usual updating schedule. Every one or two days, that is. I will write an extra long chapter for you guys to make up for it. ;) There beginning will be quite interesting, the middle not to much, but wait WAIT, until the end. So lets get into the story while we're at it:

Cia's POV:

We stand by the railing of the dilapidated and frangible metal stairs, peering down into the darkness below. Beyond the third spiral of stairs everything plunges into shadow. It seems to lead way down to the basement of the hotel. I can't tell for sure, it's too hard to perceive any further.

"So, who's first?" I ask, letting out a soft nervous laugh. We end up doing rock paper scissors and Sam is the one who has to go first. He begins making his way down, taking steady steps down the rickety staircase, holding onto the banister on the side for support. The duffel bag full of stuff on his shoulder must not be helping at all. The rest of us soon follow, taking the same cautious steps in silence. My legs tire easily since it is around 12.30 in the morning and I haven't gotten much sleep. At all.

"I was reading up on the history or the hotel earlier..." I break the tranquility of the space, "And uh, apparently there were four deaths of the builders that took part in building this hotel. It was four days before the completion of the place, while constructing room 666. No one knows where their bodies went." I explain to everyone as we slowly continue down the passageway.

"Yeah, that's what I found while doing my research as well." Sam says. The old metal stairs start creaking the further we go down. Before long, every step we take results in the sound of metal grinding against metal. I have a prodigious fear of heights so I stop and rest with my back on the railing, taking in deep breaths. Before I can process what is going on, I feel the barrier behind me slide out of place and drop down backwards over the edge. I yelp as I stumble off the side of the staircase and the yelp turns into a scream as I plummet into the darkness below. The last thing I hear is Sam, Dean, and even Lauren calling after me.

Lauren's POV:

As much as I hate the little bitch, I stand horrified, watching as Cia falls into the darkness below the stairs. Her screams come to an abrupt halt a few seconds after falling off the edge.

"Is - is she dead?" I look up and whisper to the two brothers. Dean stands gaping over the railing, and the look of horror on Sam's face gives me the chills. We run down the stairs, not giving a single rat's butt about being careful. Surprisingly, after one flight of stairs we reach the bottom.

"Already?" I look around confused, although everything is consumed by darkness.

"Feel around the walls for a light switch." Dean commands us. I take quick steps to the side until a reach a wall and I start moving left, my hands on the wall keeping myself aware of finding a switch, I run into what feels like a small rope hanging from above. I run my hand around it so that I know for sure that it is a handle switch for a light. I tug on it and a ceiling lamp flickers to life. In the center of the room there is a big round barrel, nearly three times the size of a bathtub. Could Cia have fallen in there? The broken banister beside the barrel and the splotches of water on the floor confirms it. I look about for something to use as a step to get to the brim of the barrel. To the side of the room I find some bags of old concrete. I drag one to the barrel and I step up so I can see into it.

"She's in here!" I yell out to Sam and Dean. The brothers pull their own sacks of concrete to the barrel. We all reach into the water and haul Cia out. Once we lay her on the floor she starts coughing up water.
