My jaw dropped and I shivered harder against the tree; my feet twisted and curled around the other to stay at warmth, but no matter what I did, I felt every part of the breeze.

I grasped my shoulders harder and pushed into the tree harshly.

Cold. It's so cold.

I looked up at the setting sun and growled. It's only going to get colder. And if something came, I don't have that sword anymore...nor do I have those rings.

My heart suddenly thumped when all feeling in my right leg went away. Whether it was from the cold or the injury on my foot, I couldn't guess.

The first star of the night shined brightly against the dying sunny sky. Just like a spark of hope, many more stars appeared after it.

"Poor excuse."

The cold breeze even seemed to chill the stars above. The brightened and dimed.

"Putting me out here just be lazy!"

My focus fell from the sky unto yet another man riding one of those tall beasts. I searched him for weapons and I got a sword, a knife, and a dagger. He must be one of those from before.

I slowly rose up from the ground and immediately fell back down. My left foot was gone too.

A strong blow of wind rocked the forest and my dress flailed up even more. I gritted my teeth and slammed my head against the trunk of the tree.

My chest grew hotter and everywhere else froze. My heart beat rapidly and it started to burn. My throat filled with acid and I leaned over.

Silence was impossible.

My throat burned with whatever futuristic meal I had last. It drew everything from me. All energy was drained from me.

I looked back up at the sky as I took loud raspy breaths to match my heart rate.

I tried my best to remain silent. It was impossible, but I did it.

It was night when it happened.

My heart started to slow in beat and my head started pounding. I swayed desperately to stop from freezing, but I was already gone.

I cried as I squeezed my eyes shut and sadly...they froze shut.

I stopped fighting it and loosened up. My body pressed against the tree for a while, but I fell to my left.

My hearing suddenly dropped.

A few minutes passed, then I felt two hands rapidly ran over me. I kept getting pulled at and poked.

I focused all in to hearing this person. My ear had the last warmth I had.

I heard ruffling and a very fast and worried voice.

"Oh the gods above!" the man searched for something. "Don't take her!"

A loud cry from the beast sounded and the man got even more scared.

"Please don't. Erilye!" The man hit something metal. "Erilye!"
