After spending three days in the hospital I was discharged, I didn't have to do any homework Thanks to my two amazing friends.

They came by everyday just to fill me in and see how I was faring, Dean occasionally tagged along with them. He was nice in his own way and I couldn't help but think about how he looks at me when he thinks no one knows.

The looks were cross between 'I want to wrap my entire life around you' and 'I can't help myself around you'. The mixed vibes where just too much.

We were in history our teacher wasn't around. Shiv, Alicia, Dean and I sat together talking.

When Alicia and Siobhan were I immersed in their own private conversation Dean leaned towards me and said

"Since we're friends now I was, wondering if you'd like to go to the movies or something"

"Sure as friends"

He suddenly looked down at his hands which were laced together when I asked him why he looked glum he just shrugged and said

"Well I was hoping that ....... "

"That what?"

"Well I was actually hoping that..."

"Just spit it out already I'm growing white hair and getting wrinkly here" I chuckled prodding him although I pretty much knew were this was going.

"A date?" he said finally

I looked at Alicia and Siobhan only to find them trying not to giggle and unsuccessfully trying not to look in our direction.

It was a setup. They knew about it.

Rather than give them the pleasure of saying yes immediately I just said

"Are you sure you're asking the right person out?"

"Yes one hundred and one percent sure".

I started to protest but he wasn't having it just clamped a hand on my mouth and chuckled

"Denise, would you like to go out with me tomorrow after school"

I mumbled yes but couldn't get through to him since his hand was still firmly above my mouth so I nodded instead agreeing, what's the harm, it's just a date.

A huge grin broke out on his face making him look a little more handsome and there was a sparkle in his eye.

"You should smile more often"

"You think?"

"I know" I said and winked at him and I could've sworn I saw his cheek go pink.

"So word on the street is you're with Winchester" Alex whispered as we worked on our project in the library. It took a lot of bribing and pleading for him to come here.

"Says who??"

"My sources"

"Nosy much?"

"Nope just a tad curious"

Sighing I turned over a page "if you must know it's just a date"

"That how it all starts, from a date to a kiss and then shagging comes afterwards"

I looked up at him incredulously and he just shrugged before turning to his worksheet.
