07. Louis

I woke up extra early and went out to the shops to buy six bags worth of Christmas decorations.

Although it was the last day of November, I wanted the penthouse to look really festive. Ornaments, tinsel, lights; you name it.

I picked up Starbucks and some breakfast on the way back just so Radley or I didn't have to cook.

I skilfully unlocked the door, trying not to spill over the hot drinks, and got inside. I heard shuffling and in no time, Radley appeared.

"Hey, Rad. Mind help--" She quickly cut me off.

"Louis, where were you?" She sounded panicky. Grabbing everything out of my hands, she set them on the table before hugging me tightly, "Why'd you leave without telling me? I got so anxious. Please don't leave without telling me. I've already told you how much I hate being alone."

"Um, sorry? Didn't know I had to report to you every time I wanted to step out of this damn place." I muttered, slightly annoyed, causing her to release me from the hug and step back.

"Sorry," she murmured, "I don't mean to sound obsessive. I just got scared, that's all. I won't do it again. I promise. Well, I can try."

She sifted through the decorations and sighed sadly, "You're celebrating Christmas?"

"I always do. Don't you?"

"I use to. Then I moved in with him." She bit her lip and looked away.

I handed her half the breakfast I bought and we ate in silence.

"Rad." I reached out and touched her arm. She slowly turned her head towards me, "I apologize for acting the way I was. I know you get anxious. I should've left a note or something. I'm sorry."

"No, it's okay. What I did was sort of creepy. I know you didn't expect me to sound so- I don't know the word- obsessed. I'm just so sick of being left alone. Then you come along with your sexy accent and pretty face, making me feel as if I'm worth staying back for."

I threw my head back and laughed, "I love how you think my accent is sexy when it's completely the other way around. But, Radley, you are totally worth staying back for. I won't leave you alone."

"You will," she looked down at her feet, "you're going back to London. I'll be in England, too, but we probably won't see each other. Especially since you're going back to being in One Direction."

"We'll try to find a way to see each other. You're way too important to me now," I whispered, putting my arms around her waist, "I won't be able to bear not seeing you all the time."

She finally reacted to the hug and tip-toed to wrap her arms around my neck, "I won't, either."

My face nuzzled into the crook of her neck and I breathed out in contentment. Radley was so different but so similar to me.

I was falling hard for her. I was falling in love with Radley Davenport. I've only known her for a month but I knew she was the one. I just knew it.

When she smiled, my chest constricted, automatically making a smile appear on my face. They way she laughed was just like a sweet melody. Everything she did made me fall harder and harder for her.

"So," I said, pulling back but still keeping her in my arms, "I bought ornaments, lights, and there should be a star in there somewhere. Only problem is, we don't have a Christmas tree."

Radley closed her eyes and knitted her eyebrows together, "I think I know a place but they're actual pine trees."

"Thank god! I don't want that plastic stuff anyways."
