10. Radley

I woke up to a light tapping on my nose which quickly turned to aggressive poking to my side. I began writhing away from his harsh touch and pushed his face with the palm of my hand.

"Leave me the fuck alone." I grumbled, turning onto my stomach.

"Is that away to speak to your guests?" The Irish accent rolled effortlessly off his tongue.

I fluttered open my eyes to see a pair of blue irises staring right at me. As soon as we made eye contact, he cracked a toothy smile.

"Hey, Niall. Sorry for cussing." I said, quietly.

"No worries. It was rude of me to poke you so hard."

I yawned and stretched myself out, "What's up? Where's Louis?"

"He and Harry are making breakfast," he sat on the edge of the bed, "anyways, I'm here on official business."

"Oh, yeah?"

"As you may know, it is Louis' birthday tonight..."

"I do not know, actually."

"Oh..." He trailed off, "Okay, well, now you do. We're having a party and I wanted to make sure you have a dress."

I scrunched up my nose, "Ew, sorry. I'm not a dress type of girl."

"What? You've got the body for it!"

"Nope, I look hideous in dresses."

"Girl, please, you'll look good in anything. You're totally rocking that tank top," he smirked, "come on, I'll take you shopping."

"Not only am I not a dress girl, I am also broke. Tough luck, man, tough luck."

Niall rolled his eyes, "If you haven't realized that I am from a very popular band that is worth billions...."

"Don't show off, you ass."

"Okay, sorry. Harry and I just want you to look extra hot for Louis. Trust me on this."

I pursed my lips, "Fine, but I'm paying for everything. I'll just call my boss for an advance."

"Attagirl," he got up, "I'll meet you in the kitchen."

"Hey, Niall?"

He stopped walking and turned around, "Yeah?"

"You're not actually an asshole like Louis mentioned. He said you get a bit rude when you meet new people but thank you for not doing that to me. I trust Louis hasn't told you but I've been through a lot of shit so what you did means more to me than you could possibly imagine."

"No worries, babe. Don't worry about Louis, he hasn't told me a thing. I'd like to make it clear that if you want to talk about anything, you can open up to me. Just a suggestion."

"Thanks, Niall. I just might."

He nodded and walked out of the room, shutting it lightly behind him.

I showered and got dressed as fast as I could so I could call Trish before she left for work.

"Radley, sweetie, how are you?" She sang.

"I'm doing really well! Yourself?"

"Fantastic! I was just about to call you! Would you mind filling in for Alexa's ballet class today? She has a doctors appointment. It'll only be half an hour because they're seven year olds that really enjoy complaining."

"Um, sure," I scratched the back of my head, "what time?"

"In about twenty minutes?"

"Oh, wow, alright. I'll leave soon then."
