"Lily!" I heard a female voice scream. I turned around quickly to see Iz run at me full speed, her arms above her head with wide eyes. My eyes widened also as she jumped into the my arms, making me lose my balance momentarily.
"You're crushing me." I wheezed out. She had her arms wrapped securely aroud my throat, cutting off my air supply.
"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry. I've just missed you so much." She said pulling away, smiling brightly. Drew, Justin and I had gotten back yesterday morning. We figured since my father was in prison again, on death row, it was safe for me to return. I had just gotten to school when I heard Iz scream for me, and I was not too happy to be back.
"I've missed you, too. Were's your boy toy?" I asked teasingly, but it didn't seem to faze her, she just giggled like a teenaged girl.
"He is still parking, I kinda jumped out of the moving car when I saw you." She said grimacing slightly.
"Are you insane?" I yelled. "You could have gotten yourself hurt." I scolded her like she was a child who did something bad.
"But the good thing is, I didn't." She said giggling.
"What is your problem? Do you want to die?!" Shawn asked when he began to walk closer. I smiled at his behavior, he was always like that with me.
"I'm fine, baby. Besides, I just had to welcome Lily back from her very long vacation." She said wrapping her arms around his neck. He rolled his eyes then looked at me. I saw hurt flash through them before he broke out in a huge smile.
"Welcome back, Lily." He said still smiling.
"Thank you, Shawn. I don't really want to be back, to be honest." I said on a sigh. Vacation had made me lazy, all I wanted to do was lay in my bed all day. That didn't happen, though. Drew came in and practically threw me out of the house. I was not in a good mood after that.
"Nobody want's to be back, but we have no choice." He said shrugging. I jumped when the very loud bell rang, signalling time for class. I groaned and made my way to my first class.
After the very long, never ending school day ended, I hurried towards my bike, wanting to get home as fast as I could.
"Lily!" I heard Iz yell. I turned around, groaning internally. Why couldn't I just go home? I asked myself.
"What's up?" I asked her as she stopped in front of me.
"I was wondering if you wanted to go out and celebrate?" She asked looking hopeful.
I thought about it for a minute. It wouldn't be so bad going out, and I'm sure Drew wouldn't care. "Celebrate what?" I asked.
"You recovering and coming back to school." She said smiling widely.
"Sure. Where do you want to go?" I had to call Drew and let him know.
"Shawn and I were thinking the new restaurant that just opened." She pointed down the road where it was located.
"Ok, let me call Drew first." I said turning back to my bike, calling Drew quickly. He answered the first ring.
"Are you ok?" He asked quickly.
I giggled. That was the first thing he was going to say? What a silly boy. I thought to myself. "I'm ok, Drew. I was actually calling to ask if I could go with Shawn and Iz to that new restaurant that opened down the road. She wants to celebrate."
"You wanted to ask me first? You know you don't have to do that, right?" He asked, and I could hear the smile in his voice.
"I know I don't have to, I just wanted to let you know and if it was ok to go with them." I said rolling my eyes smiling.
