"You're not going to treat me like a baby again, are you?" I asked Drew. This was total deja vu. I was sitting in my bed with Drew fussing over me. Fluffing my pillow, covering me up like I was a child.
"If it get's you better, then yes. I will treat you like a baby." If I hadn't seen the smile on his face, I would have thought he was angry with me. I huffed and laid down. Better to get this over with, I thought to myself. Drew sighed and sat down on the edge of the bed. "You know I love you. I'm only doing this to make sure you get better and stay safe." He said placing a hand to my cheek.
I wrapped my hand around his and kissed his palm. "I know, and I'm grateful." I said wrapping a hand around his neck.
"I hope you guys are decent." Justin said outside the door. He opened the door with a hand covering his eyes.
I giggled and shook my head. He can be so silly some times. "Justin, I've been stabbed. Do you think we are up for that?" I asked skeptically.
"You never know." He trailed off.
"What do you want now?" Drew asked sounding not in the mood.
"I just wanted to check up on my favorite person." He said smiling.
"Drew?" I asked.
Justin looked at Drew and scrunched his face in disgust. "Hell no." He shook his head and brought a box of chocolate from behind his back. "I came to see you, smarty." He said ruffling my hair.
"Awe, you didn't have to get me these." I said smiling. I loved chocolate.
"Can we talk?" He asked Drew, motioning towards the door.
"We can talk here. She know's about us now." Drew said smiling warmly at me.
"Ok, well the pack wants to meet Jewel." Justin said.
"It will have to be at a later date.." Drew trailed off. Jeez, this boy is always worrying about me.
"I can go, Drew." I said cutting him off. It wasn't like I was totally bed ridden.
"You need to rest." Drew argued.
"Drew, it's not that bad anymore. The doctor even said I was healing nicely. I just have to keep taking my pills." I didn't want their pack to think bad of me if I didn't go, and I actually wanted to see his pack. He's been telling me about them since the hospital.
"Baby..." He trailed off beggingly. I knew he was going to be worried the whole time, but I wanted to go. It was a part of Drew's life and I wanted to be part of it also.
"When do they want us to come?" I asked Justin.
"Tomorrow at five. They are throwing a baraque." He said glancing at Drew quickly.
"We will be there." I told him. I know I was being stubborn and acting like a child, but I didn't care.
