C H A P T E R 19☆

Dacian☆

When I woke up this morning Aubrey wasn't laying next to me.

After a minute or two of thinking it all came back to me. Thinking back what I said to her was terrible but I was so mad at the moment.

She's probably never gonna come back and then I'll really be alone.

I already lost my sister, I can't lose her either.

After showering and making sure I was all cleaned up I grabbed my phone and dialed her number.

"Hello?" She answered the phone.

"Where are you?" I questioned her.

"Why do you want to know? You don't need me remember?" She questioned.

I can just picture the look on her face right now.

"Baby, everything I said last night was a lie. I do need you, you're the only one I have left." I told her honestly.

I heard her sigh.

"I don't know whether I should believe you or not. You seemed like you were telling the truth last night." She replied back to me.

"Please believe me. I was drunk and didn't know what I was saying. Come home so we can talk about this." I told her.

"How about we meet at the little diner around the corner from the house. You need to eat." She suggested.

"Yeah, that sounds good." I told her.

"I'll be there in ten minutes." She replied back to me.

"I'll see you there." I stated.

"I'll see you there." She answered back before I hung up.

This is my time to redeem myself.

I went into the bedroom to find the cologne she likes and sprayed it on me. After doing that I made sure I looked good before heading outside.

I walked a couple of blocks and I made it to the diner. Once I entered a lady came up to me.

"Table for one?" She asked with a smile.

"No..." I said before looking over her.

I noticed Aubrey sitting at a table by herself.

"I came to meet my wife." I said pointing towards Aubrey.

"Awww okay, follow me." She stated with a small smile.

I nodded and she walked me over to the table like that was necessary.

I can't keep my eyes off of Aubrey right now. She's glowing and looks absolutely stunning.

I sat down in front of her and Aubrey's face still remained upset.

I grabbed her hand which is laying on the table and squeezed it. She pulled her hand back making me upset.

"Aubrey, I'm sorry." I said lowly.

She gave me a look.

"Dacian, you really hurt me last night. Just because you apologize doesn't mean I'm gonna accept it." She told me.

"What do you want me to do to makeup for it? I'll do anything." I said to her.

Before she could reply back a waitress came over and sat down plates of food in front of us.

I looked down at my plate to see all of my favorite things on it.

"I ordered food for you before you came." She told me.

Who else knows all of my favorite things and can take care of me like her?

"I don't want the food, I want you." I said to her.

I got up and sat on the other side sitting next to her in the booth. I placed my hand on her thigh gently and leaned in close to her.

"Don't give up on me like everyone else. I need you and I know you need me." I whispered to her.

I didn't even give her a chance to reply as I smashed my lips onto hers and gently placing my hand on her cheek.

"I love you." I mumbled against her lips.

I pulled back and started staring into her eyes.

"I love you too." She replied back to me letting me know that she's still mine.

I rubbed my hand gently against her belly.

"How is the baby?" I questioned her.

She smiled for the first time since we've been in this diner.

"He's doing good, he has been moving a lot and has been reminding me to eat by kicking my belly." She said letting out a giggle.

I missed a lot in a week.

All of a sudden Aaliyah popped into my head.

"It's crazy that Aaliyah didn't even make it to see him." I said sadly.

Aubrey grabbed my hand.

"She'll be here in spirit. When he's a little older and he's able to understand we'll tell him all about her we'll also show him pictures." She said making me feel a little better.

"Yeah, I think we should take a trip back home." I told her honestly.

She completely froze up when I said that.

"Why?" She questioned.

"I think it's important that we go back for a trip. I feel like it'll be good for the both of us." I told her.

"I don't know about that. I had back memories back there." She told me.

I nodded my head in understanding.

"I did too, but I think it's time we make amends with it." I told her.

"I understand.." She said lowly.

"Don't worry, I'll be by your side the entire time." I told her honestly.

I understand why she doesn't want to go back to our hometown but it's important for me.
