Vanessa

My mother and I spoke for about 15 minutes about how happy she was and asked if I was having a baby shower.

"No, we didn't really plan on it. We already bought everything"

She sighed. "Vanessa, I didn't get them anything. I promise to ship a box full of things for my first grandchildren!"

"If you feel it's right. I'll text you a list of everything we have so you have an idea of what to get"

"Okay, I love you. Talk again soon"

"Love you too mum, say hi to the guys for me please"

"Of course dear. Bye now"

We hung up and I felt relieved. My phone slipped down to beside me and Emily flinched.

I covered myself up and walked to put her back in bed.

"Taylor" I called.

"Kitchen"

I saw him by the computer, looking at my tabs.

"How many brides maids?" He clicked on the dresses tab.

I hummed. "I think three"

"We gotta do invitations and pick food and-"

"Easy there tiger. I think we should pick a date first" I opened the calendar and went to September.

"How about October 3rd?" Taylor randomly said.

"Works" I wrote it down on the sheet of paper beside us.

"Shall we start with guests?"

"Well our parents and siblings" I wrote down.

"The guys?"

"Check"

"Aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents"

I flipped over the page and made a chart labeled everything he listed.

"Grandma and grandpa Caniff. Gramma Patterson"

"Aunt Mary and uncle Patrick. Betty and Mike, Bert and Judy, Barney and Robin, Monica and Chandler, Joseph and Sharon, Marvin and Olivia"

"Wow we have a lot of family" he laughed.

"Oh I know. So much for a small wedding" I rested my head in my hand. "And our friends would kill us if we didn't invite them"

"We got a good start. Plus you can ask Tea for help" Taylor kissed my temple.

"Eloping doesn't seem like a bad idea" I finished writing everyone I could think of.

"We could ask Matt and Tea to watch the kids for a weekend and do it"

"No no, we can't"

"Okay" Taylor got up and walked to the fridge. "Pizza?"

I raised my brow at him. "That even a question?"

He smiled and pulled out the box, sending it sliding across the table top and landing in front of me. "There ya go"

"Thanks babe" I pulled open the box and shoved a slice into my mouth.

"I love you" Taylor sat beside me again.

"I love you more" I leaned over and my head on his shoulder as we looked through wedding options.
