Matthew's pov

Tea has the cutest little southern accent sometimes. I love when she uses it, and it's not on purpose.

"What?" She asked.

"You're so cute." I kissed her forehead.

"You're so weird, Mr. Dino." She gave me a hug.

"We better head back, Shawn will wonder where we went." I took her hand and we walked out of the old barn.

"Shawn?" Tea pointed at something jogging out of the house.

They got in his car.

"Yeah, Shawn." I nodded.

Tea let go of my hand and ran towards the vehicle.

"Let me in please." She pulled the handle.

"I'll be inside." I waved and went over to the door, opening it and stepping inside.

Kicking off my shoes, I heard crying.

"Emily it's okay." I picked her up and rocked her. Ethan must be downstairs with Vanessa.

"Jesus Christ children. Do you ever not cry?" I heard Vanessa come upstairs.

"Oh, hey Matthew." She stopped in her tracks.

"I got her, you alright?" I studied her face for a second.

Dark circles traced her eyes, cheeks were tear-stained, her whole body just looked drained.

"Yeah, fine. I-I can ta-take her." She stuttered, holding her arms out.

"Can I hold her? I'll be careful." I promised.

She nodded and disappeared back downstairs.

"Hey Emily. I'm uncle Matchu. You're so beautiful, like your mommy." I smiled at the sleeping child I held.

Tea's pov.

I sat in Shawn's car. He was quiet, looked almost angry.

"You alright?" I broke the silence.

"You were right. I'm so stupid." He hit the wheel and held it tightly.

"What?" I asked, unaware of what happened still.

"I. I. I kissed her okay! I kissed Vanessa. I couldn't help myself. She's so beautiful and funny and she doesn't deserve to be treated like that. She's cried so much in like 24 hours, it's crazy and I just want her to be happy." He blurted out.

"Shawn uhm, oh." I didn't know what to say.

"I'm sorry." We both sat there.

"Why?"

"She's just so perfect to me and I've loved her since like first time I met you guys. Her and Taylor weren't dating and yes, I flirted with her but I also did with you a bit." He paused, looking at me nervously.

"Me? But Matt and I were kinda a thing back than.... And Shawn. If she wasn't dating Taylor, I totally would approve of you and her because you're so caring and you're like my best friend and I love you for that."

Shawn had his eyes closed as I spoke, so I continued.

"But they just have this connection that is so crazy and you should have seen her when we were younger and Carter was just starting out with you guys a year ago." He opened his eyes.

"I've seen the vines that you guys are in. And also found your personal vine accounts. You were crazy." He laughed.

I felt my face heat up. "I was like 14...."

"You were cute. Still are." Shawn smiled at me.

"No Mendes!" I playfully pushed him away.

"I think I made things awkward-er between Vanessa and I." Shawn got serious.

"Both of us are awkward. I don't think it could get any worse. But we'll just leave it alone for a while. I hope this all blows over in a week." I took a deep breath.

Shawn grabbed my hand and gave it a squeeze. "How are you?"

"Everywhere. I don't even know anymore." I frowned.

"You sure keep it in."

I nodded. "We better go in. Matt will think I've left the farm." I laughed, getting out of the car.

"You're something Tea." Shawn chuckled, following me inside.

We playfully pushed each other while walking up the lane. Entering the house, laughing, Matt came walking over.

"You two seemed to be having a good time...." He reached for me.

"Calm down Espinosa. I love you." I gave him a hug and looked up.

"What time is it?" Shawn looked up at the clock.

"Shit. It's 4:37pm. Another day I could've unpacked." I sighed.

"Babe you gotta take it easy." Matt said.

"I think I've caused enough trouble today, plus I gotta wake up early to catch my flight." Shawn awkwardly shifted.

"Awe I forgot your leaving for a few weeks before tour!" Vanessa said, coming upstairs.

"He sleeping?" Matt asked.

"Yeah, is Emily?" She walked over to the island and jumped up.

"Yup. She crashed while I rocked her." Matt raised his chin, all proud.

"Practice." I squeezed his jaw, causing him to pucker his lips.

"But I'll see you guys in about two weeks. Bye Tea." Shawn gave me a hug, making me get on my tippy toes.

"See ya Matt." They bro hugged, because they're "men".

"Bye Shawn." Vanessa and him hugged.

"I'm going to say bye to the guys and I'll be at the hotel if you are coming in tonight for any reason. But my plane leaves at 6am I think." Shawn opened the door.

"Alright bud, catch ya later." Vanessa and I said at the same time.

Everyone laughed, Shawn slipped out the door.

"So you, missy." I turned to Vanessa.
