The next morning I woke up to sounds of vomiting. Oh what a delightful morning. I turned to see Mike in my bathroom, head in the toilet. I rolled my eyes. I quietly went down to the kitchen, got some water and pills. "Here." Mike got up rinsed his mouth and washed his hands then grabbed the water and pills. "Thanks, I feel like shit" I shook my head.

"Thats what drinking does to you bro, why are you stinking up my room?" I asked. "Mom would hear me if I was in my bathroom" he winced "Sorry, I'll clean up your bathroom on cleaning day." I waved him off "Its cool, so did you have fun with Lia?" I rose my brow. He choked on his water.

"How did you know!?" I shrugged. "I have my sources." I didn't want to explain the whole Jake thing to him. "Just make sure you keep yourself protected, I don't want any little Mikes running around."

"I am, I'm not an idiot" I put my hands up in surrender "Alright, just making sure. Now go get ready for school. We have to leave soon." I pushed him out of my room and started getting ready. I decided to wear a black v-neck shirt and blue skinny jeans. I never dressed up and just liked to keep it casual. I also love black anything. There wasn't much color in my wardrobe.

After I threw my temper tantrum last night, I felt a little silly. It always happens, I blow up, say things I don't mean and then I feel like an idiot afterwards. I sighed "I really wish I knew how to communicate better." I ran a hand across my face. Its so frustrating.

"You ready Mia.?" My brother was standing in the doorway. How did he get ready so fast, he looked completely fine. "Yup, lets go." I grabbed my bag, and we rushed out of there.

We got to school just in time. Mike rushed out of the car waving bye. That kid always has somewhere to go. I walked to my locker, hoping and praying this day goes by quickly without so much drama. So far I haven't seen any of the boys in the hallway, or any bitchy girls roaming the halls so my day was going awesome.

I went through classes fast enough. Maybe my prayers have been answered. As I walked through the halls to my art class, I noticed that I still haven't seen anyone, even Landon. I decided to text him quickly to make sure he was still alive. I put my phone away and continued to art class. I hope Jake isn't here today, it would be so awkward. He sounded drunk last night so lets hope he's so sick he didn't come today. Alright, not that sick. Just a little.

I walked in and inwardly curse the gods. Jake was there sitting down with his foot up on the desk and leaning back on his phone, looking better than ever. Is he even human!? How is he not hungover right now! I sighed and continued to walk to the desk and sit down, he put down his feet but didn't look up from his phone. I'm not sure if its because he didn't notice me or he's choosing to ignore me. Either way is fine with me.

The teacher walked in and we started our class, she was talking about our semester project, I was listening intently when I felt my phone vibrate. The teacher was laid back so she always lets students listen to music on their phones. Thinking it was Landon I looked at my phone. My heart stopped.

Daniel: Hey...I've been thinking about you...

Daniel. My one and only friend from Texas. My ex boyfriend. Daniel was my first friend I had when I moved to Texas. Daniel was the typical golden boy. Played football and all the girls and their mommas loved him. When he noticed me the second week of school, he quickly became my friend. I don't know why he took a interest in me but I wasn't going to complain. We were only friends at first, he had a girlfriend. A cheerleader, who hated me. When Jake and Carissa dated we went to a party and things got out of hand. We hooked up. Not sex but just made out. I felt like shit because of his girlfriend but soon after he broke up with her and we started dating.
