Jakes house was huge, his dad was one of New York's best lawyers and made a lot of money so I expected as much. Jakes mom was more of humble parent than his dad, who loved to buy Jake and I dozens of presents when we were younger, he was always the most affectionate parent, Jake really hit the jackpot with those two.
When I left for Texas, Jake's mom and dad were still together but they separated the same year that my family moved. They were still friends but just didn't mesh well as a couple. Landon told me Jake was in a bad place then, his parents divorced really messed with him but when I would talk to him and ask him how he was doing, he would say he was perfectly fine and never really wanted to talk about it.
Raven parked the car alongside the road. Jake had only left a little before we did and the party was already packed. The house was in a secluded area so there was no chance of the cops being called.
"Okay, so just in case we split up we will meet in the kitchen every hour, just to make sure none of us are dead. Alright?" Landon looked at both Raven and I. We stared at each other than at Landon. "Yes daddy." Raven smiled at Landon.
Landon's eyes widened and his whole face turned pink "Raven, please don't ever say that again." he shook his head and practically ran out the car.
Raven looked at me confused "What? What did I say?" I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes.
"Raven, do you not know that calling a man "daddy" is like real kinky."
Raven widen her eyes "OMG! I didn't even think of it that way. That's so embarrassing! He probably thinks I'm a freak now!" She was hyperventilating.
"Relax he thought it was hot, that's why he said to never say it again and ran out of this car like his ass was on fire." I gave her a wink.
"Oh." She started blushing. I rolled my eyes "Come on, lets go get wasted!" I jumped out the car and started heading to the door with Raven right beside me. We entered the house and I was amazed. It was so huge, it didn't look as big since there were people in every inch of the house but you could still tell it was big. Music was blasting and there were people, mainly girls shaking their asses to the music.
We passed by the makeshift dance floor to head to the kitchen for some drinks. The kitchen was packed as well but I actually knew all these people, not friends but some football guys and the cheerleaders, mainly the people who I sit with during lunch.
"YO, you made it!" I looked up to see Luke coming towards me with a lopsided grin. "I'll see you in an hour" Raven winked and walked off. I smiled and looked at Luke, he looked good, a little drunk but still cute.
"Sure did, did you miss me?" I heard a snort and looked past Luke to see Jake sitting on the kitchen counter trying to hold in his laughter. He was drunk.
Luke turned to Jake and Jake glared at him. I felt like they were having a secret conversation with their eyes. Luke rolled his eyes at Jake and looked at me "Anyways, I got to go, I hope you have fun Mia." he smiled and walked away to the living room. I snapped my head towards Jake and glared at him, I walked past him to grab a drink. I needed one if I was going to deal with Jake.
I was sipping my drink and decided to go ask Jake why Luke was blowing me off. "Why did Luke blow me off? We were suppose to hang out together?"
Jake was still sitting on the counter while I was standing in front of him. Jake smirked and shrugged his shoulder "I have no idea. Maybe he wasn't interested."
I snorted "Yeah right."
"Wow, you're very conceited"
"I'm not conceited. I just know that Luke was interested, we've been flirting nonstop. Until you looked at him like you were going to kill him." I narrowed my eyes at him.
