I woke up startled, falling off bed onto the floor. "WHAT THE HELL!?" I looked towards my window. Music was blasting from Jake's room; from what I can hear it was rock music. I got up from the floor rubbing my butt. "Asshole!" I narrowed my eyes towards his window, his curtains were over his window so I couldn't see through them but I his shadow though walking back and forth, probably getting ready for school. I looked at my phone, I had 20 minutes to get ready. Damn it.
I quickly got ready, running a comb through my hair and throwing on a long sleeved black shirt and skinny jeans. I grabbed my bags for school and dashed out my room "Mike, we got to go" I yelled. Mike came rushing down the stairs "Come on let's go!" we locked up the house and got in my car.
As I was reversing out the drive way, when I noticed a motorcycle coming out of Jake's garage. "Is that Jake?" my brother asked. "Probably" I mumbled. The motorcycle cut me off as I was accelerating forward and I quickly had to brake, I beeped the horn. Since he was wearing a black helmet I couldn't see his face or his eyes but I just knew he was looking right at me, I beeped the horn again. Jake turned back around revved his motorcycle so that there was black smoke in front of my car, and sped off.
"What's his problem?" my brother asked. I shrugged and turned on the radio and headed to school. We finally arrived at Harrison High School, I parked in the student parking a lot and got of the car.
"Alright, I'll see you later sis, try not to get in trouble" Mike said giving me a side hug. I rolled my eyes "I'm supposed to tell you that little bro, I'm older remember" I smirked. "Then start acting like it" he grinned walking away towards the entrance of the school.
I rolled my eyes, everyone just wants to piss me off today. I started walking towards the entrance, hoping I can just go through this day without any drama. Of course that never happens, I saw Landon, Jake and another couple of guys by the lockers, talking and checking out girls as they walk by. Landon was laughing along with the other guys but Jake had his arms crossed over his chest, leaning on the lockers with a smirk. I couldn't help it, I checked him out from head to toe, why did he have to be so fricking hot!
His blonde hair was combed back with a few strands falling down, making it look effortless. His jaw was chiseled and his cheek bones prominent, but of course the highlight of him was his blue piercing eyes and plumped lips. He looked like a freaking model, he was even more attractive then I remembered. I didn't want to walk by them, so I just stopped walking midway trying to find another way to my classes. Landon noticed me "Hey Mia, over here" he called out to me.
G-d damn it. At the sound of my name Jake looked my way his expression first surprised then changed to a neutral one. Our eyes locked on to each other, and all those feelings I had for him that I thought were long gone came rushing back, he looked older but he was still Jake, the boy I grew up with, I would be lying if I said I didn't miss him. We continue to stare at each other for an uncomfortable amount of time. I shook my head and started walked towards them, Jake was still looking at me. I glanced at him and notice his eyes slowly descending down my body, he was checking me out. He slowly moved his gaze back up to my chest area and then to my eyes. He smirked and winked at me, I rolled my eyes.
Landon hugged me, and started introducing me to all the guys. I knew most of them from when I lived here before, they all seemed cool, except the guy standing near Jake, when Landon introduced me to him, he just grunted. I think his name was Aaron.
"You know Jake...Jake you remember Mia" Landon awkwardly said as he gestured towards Jake who was still just leaning on the lockers like he didn't give two shits about anything.
"Yeah, Hi Jake nice to see you again" I said confidently. I didn't want him to think I was nervous.
Jake smirked again "Mia?" he made a face "Do I know you'? he looked at me. Landon's smile quickly vanished "Really dude?" Landon glared at Jake, all the other guys snickered. Freaking ass. I wasn't going to let him know how much that hurt.
