I head to my locker and put my books away and then head to the cafeteria for lunch. Landon texted me and told me he was sitting down and to come sit with him. I was reluctant to sit there knowing Jake and "Carissa" would most likely be there but I wasn't going to let them push me away. Landon was still my best friend and nothing will change that. The cafeteria was huge and there were a lot of students taking up all the space, I noticed Landon and a girl with black hair sitting down at the table right in the middle of the whole cafeteria.

I get my pizza and head towards the table. Landon looks up and smiles "Hey Mia, this is Raven." He points towards the girl she instantly smiles "Hi, I've heard so much about you" I smiled back "I hope they were all good things" she laughed "Of course, Landon here wouldn't shut up about you coming back"

I sat down in the middle of Landon and Raven. Raven and I continued talking, she was a really cool girl and a lot like me. I found out that she also loved art and that Aaron was her half-brother and they both moved here from Florida in the beginning of freshman year. Landon looked happy that we were getting along.

Landon and Raven and I continued to talk and eat our lunch while the other boys I met earlier sat at our table. They all said Hi to me and asked how my day was going. I looked up and saw Aaron and Jake heading to our table. Jake sat across from me and Aaron sat right next to him. Jake didn't look at me and I didn't look at him.

"So Jake are you still throwing that party next weekend?" Raven asked.

"Why do you care; you're not going." Aaron said towards his sister. Raven rolled her eyes "Yes I am, I get the whole over protective brother thing you're doing, but I'm going and you're not stopping me." Aaron looked at Jake looking like he wanted Jake to tell her she couldn't come.

Jake looked at his friend and shrugged "She can come if she wants dude, its open invitation." Aaron just grunted.

"So that means Mia can come too then!?" Raven said happily, I shot her a glare. "She can come but I highly doubt she would want to" Jake shrugged.

I looked at him "Why wouldn't I want to come?" Jake took a sip of his drink "You don't look like the partying type." What the heck is that supposed to mean. Well I never did like to go to parties,  but when I moved to Texas I only made a couple of friends and they all liked to party. We would party almost all the time and I would have fun but I really just wanted to stay inside and watch movies. Towards the end of living in Texas I stopped going out so much. There was no point after I lost my "friends".

"Actually, I would love to come." Jake rose his eyebrows clearly surprised "Yay! This will be so much more fun than just hanging out with the guys" Raven was basically jumping up and down in her seat.

"Thanks Raven" Landon said. Raven smiled "Aw Landon I love hanging out with you, its just different to finally have a girl in the group."

Aaron snickered "So what are Nat and Carissa, aliens?" Raven rolled her eyes "Might as well be." I giggled. "Who is Nat?" I asked anyone who was listening to me. Just then a really pretty girl sat down by Jake "Its Natalia, and you are?" she gave me a dirty look. I really am shit out of luck with all these jerks given me attitude for no reason.

Raven glared at her "Her name is Mia, Mia Acosta." Raven made sure to enunciate my last name. Natalia widen her eyes in shock and looked at Jake quickly before shifting her eyes back to me. Natalia put her arm around Jakes biceps "Well anyway, babe are we hitting Aaron's party tonight?"

Babe? Of course he has a girlfriend. A really pretty, bitchy girlfriend. Its just so cliche. "Sure, whatever." Jake replied. He seemed overjoyed. "So do you want me to pick you up Mia, we can drive together, I don't drink so you can drink all you want." Raven asked me. I seriously love this girl. "That sounds perfect!." Landon stopped talking to his friends and looked at me "Just don't drink to much Mia, you know how crazy you get" we both laughed.

Over the holidays Landon and I went to party almost every night, and he was right I did get just a tad crazy and by tad I mean, batshit crazy. I was still a fun drunk though so I didn't have a problem with it. "Who the hell invited you?" Natalia questioned with disgust.

"Why do you care?" I snapped. Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked between Natalia and I. "I was invited Nat is there a problem?" I sneered.

She gave me the meanest glare "Consider yourself officially uninvited, we don't know you, go back to wherever you came from." she hissed. "Nat you better watch it!" Landon slammed his hand on the table, making us all jump. "She's my friend, I know her and wont let you play that "queen bee" bullshit on her, do you understand?" Landon was looking right at Natalia.

I was shocked to say the least, I think everyone was, Landon was always the happy guy, rarely curses too. He was pissed. Natalia looked like she was going to cry. She picked up her books and stormed out. Jake sighed loudly and put down his sandwich "Dude you didn't have to yell at her, there girls its what they do." Landon rolled his eyes "You would've been the first one to protect Mia back in the day jerk off, keep your girl in check." Jake quickly turned angry "Keep your girl in check Landon!" he sneered. His girl? What the hell is he talking about. I wasn't Landon's "girl" and why the hell are they talking about us like were dogs.

They just continued to stare at each other until Raven coughed "Soooo... Nat's a real bitch huh?" she said amused. Aaron gave her a look and she clamped her mouth shut. Jake rolled his eyes and packed his books up and went after Natalia, I'm guessing. Aaron followed soon after. I turned to Landon "Lan you didn't have to do that, I could've taken care of myself but thank you." I gave him a hug.

"No problem and I know, but remember what I said, I'm on your side always." he smiled and hugged me back. The bell rang for the end of lunch. Everyone got up from their table and and headed to class. Well this is turning out to be the most dramatic day of my life. Being friends with Landon is turning out be a lot harder than I thought, I'm already starting problems with their whole group. What the hell am I suppose to do?
