I woke up the next morning excited for tutoring with Jake, not that I would ever tell anyone that. Jake sent me his dads address earlier in the day when I was still asleep. His dads house wasn't to far away from mine so I got there in no time.

I knocked the door twice and waited. After another 5 minutes I knocked again, just when I was about to knock the door another time it swung open showing Natalia in a big shirt that went past her knees. "What are you doing here?" she glared at me.

I rolled my eyes. "Nat chill, she's here to tutor me." Jake was walking towards the door putting a shirt on.

"I thought you said noon?" I tried not to sound annoyed but I couldn't help it, I was out here knocking for ten minutes.

"Sorry, I wasn't checking the time." He didn't look sorry.

"Whatever" I looked at Natalia up and down "Do you want me to come back another time?" I asked

"Uh yeah" Natalia answered at the same time Jake said "No its fine."

They both looked at each other "Jake, you said we could hang out."

"We did hang out, we did what we did, now you can go."

This was so awkward, I was still standing outside the door while Natalia blocked the entrance. Natalia looked hurt, I would be too but I don't like her so she gets no sympathy from me.

"Fine." she pushed him out the way and went up the stairs.

Jake looked after her and the shook his head. I coughed "It's so cold.." I made a show of saying it dramatically and shivering just for flare.

Jake laughed then "Come in."

He closed the door behind me while I stood in the huge foyer. "So I was thinking we can work in the dining room, its this way." He walked by me and I followed him to his dining room. Jakes dad's house wasn't as "homely" as his moms. The only personal touch this house had was the many pictures of Jake and I as kids.

I stopped when I saw my favorite picture of us two. It was on an end table in the living room, I picked it up and just looked at how happy we were. "I don't know why but my dad loves to have a shit ton of pictures all over the place." Jake said behind me.

"I love this picture." I smiled and looked back at him. The picture was of us in my backyard near our tree house, it was the last picture of us before I left. He had his arm around me and we were just looking at each other laughing. "I forgot what we were laughing at." Jake said looking at the picture and smiling. I laughed "You were testing out your pick up lines." He laughed "I did that to you all the time." he shook his head.

"Can I follow you home?" Jake looked at me and grinned "Cause my parents always told me to follow my dreams." He finished.

We both laughed "I can't believe you remember that." I put the picture frame down "I remember a lot of things." I stared at him intently.

Jake stopped smiling and looked at me like he wanted to say something but a loud bang from the front door closing interrupted him. Jake looked towards the foyer annoyed "She didn't have to slam the damn door. Come on, I have to go out later so we should do get this over with." He continued walking while I followed.

"I think I got it!" Jake exclaimed. I laughed "Let me check." It was now five in the evening. Jake was terrible at math but he was getting it, slowly.

I checked his answers. "You did it! Good job!" I went to give him a high five while he tried to give me a fist bump.

"Come on Mimi, I thought you were going for a fist bump." he laughed and then stopped realizing his mistake.
