Farewell

I once loved you with a fiery red,

But now it’s an icy blue.

You've made it apparent you don’t care about me,

I shouldn’t have thought otherwise.

Because hoping is for kids,

And believing in promises gets us nowhere.

You don’t care, so why should I

You like her

My best friend,

And she likes you too,

I say farewell to both of you.

Because this secret makes my heart

Cold as winter snow.

While my tears are

Scorching as summer heat waves

To my arctic touch.
