"Just remember you got me if you need me Emma, he smiled

"Okay Ander" I laughed and walked away glancing back only to see a group of little girls walk over to him. He picked up the littlest one with a tutu on and gave the boy who looked about 17 a hug and walked off with the little girl on his hip. She was wearing a pink tutu with a black leotard and had her hair in pigtails.

That's adorable.

I turned back and made my way to Melissa.

Time to stop this flirt fest.

I walked up behind Melissa and tapped her on the shoulder.

"Oh there you are, I was just about to go find you, you ready to eat?" Melissa asked me.

"Actually I already ate..." I said

"Oh that's okay then," she said calmly "I wasn't that hungry anyway."

I looked at her weirdly and looked back and forth between Melissa and whoever this dude was. I shook my head and put out my hand motioning to her I wanted the keys.

"What do you want?" she asked with a puzzled look on her face

"Um the keys," I said with a kind of duhtone in my voice.

All she did was laugh. "Why? You can't drive yet. Haven't taken your drivers'
test remember?"

I rolled my eyes, "I know, I just want to sit in the car, and I want you two to hurry up so I can go home."

"What about the back to school shopping we were going to do today?"

"I don't want to do it anymore. I'm tired and I want to go home so I can sleep." I motioned for the keys one more time and said, "Can I have the keys now please?"

Melissa eyed me weirdly and put the keys into my hand. I turned around satisfied that worked and I began walking towards the exit. I pushed open one of the doors and walked through with my head drooping down towards the ground.

What the heck was wrong with me?

I put my hand up to my head, walked to the car, unlocked it and got in the passenger seat. I started to rub my temples and I sighed.

All the noise in the mall gave me a major head ache. Ugh I just want to go home.

I pulled out my phone again and I called Melissa. I put it up to my ear only for it to go straight to voicemail.

Great.

I wanted to scream so badly and I couldn't go back in there without wanting to rip my hair out because of my headache. I huffed and played with the end of my hair, a nervous habit I had, and sat there waiting.

This was going to take forever. Let's hope I'm patient enough to wait for her.

I turned on my phone and began scrolling through Instagram trying to be less impatient.

If she doesn't get out here in five minutes I'm taking the bus.

I huffed from aggravation and opened the door and slammed it shut waking away leaving the keys in the car. I honestly did not care right now. I didn't feel good and she was taking forever. I walked back over to the car, put the keys under a jacket Melissa had left in there, and left the back door unlocked locking the other doors. I walked off frustrated that she was taking so long and I walked out of the parking lot and began walking down the street. I looked around at everything and immediately felt sort of glum. Everything felt so sad and dark. Maybe that was because there were clouds overhead and I saw upset that my sister ditched me for some dude she barely even met. I continued walking so I could get to the bus stop and finally go home. I looked up at the sky and saw a blanket of clouds filling up the sky.
