"well?" he tapped his foot on the ice under his shoe
"um" I looked down at the snow
I looked up.
He was still glaring at me.
"where were you?" he asked
"studying for a test at the library with cheyenne.."
"at 10: 30 in the night?"
I'm a terrible liar.
"yeah"
"why did you come from spiral hill then?"
What was this, question hour?
"after we studied we went to spiral hill to watch the snow and we sorta lost track of time"
"is that the truth?" he asked
I paused for a moment " of course"
He continued to give that 'are you sure' face.
That's it.
He had the guilt trap set on me and I couldn't take it any more.
I told him every thing that had happened including me and cameron on spiral hill. I couldn't tell if he was mad or happy.
Defiantly not happy.
"why didn't you tell anyone you were going to the hinterlands and Christmas town?!" he asked with some anger in his voice
"I don't know. If we told anyone they would either want to come along and 'babysit' us or they wouldn't let us go"
"oh well. At least you would be safe and out of trouble that way"
He was kinda right but since I'm a stubborn person, I wasn't giving up there
"I'm 16 years old! I should be aloud to go places by myself!" I snapped
"don't you snap at me!"
"I should be aloud to live MY life not yours!" I ran past him to the graveyard
He didn't chase me.
I walked around until I noticed a tombstone that read
'R.I.P
Susan Elizabeth White
Daughter of Josh and Samantha White
Died of (not specified)
Will always be remembered
1997-2013'
"Susan Elizabeth White.."I said to myself
"that's me"
I looked to the tombstone next to it
'R.I.P
Megan Abigail Newman
Daughter of Daniel and Jillian Newman
Died of: drowning
Will never be forgotten
1997-2013'
"oh my god.."
"Megan is dead. My best friend is dead"
"that can't be right"
I just remembered that Megan was a TNBC fan like me.
When she was little she said she wanted to marry Jack.
"wait, only the people that are here have their tombstones in the graveyard. That means..."
"who are you?" a voice behind me said
I looked over to see.. Myself?
What?
There stood a tall girl that looked EXACTLY like me.
Like I did in the mirror.
"who are you?" I asked
"Megan Newman" she replied
"no way.." I said stunned
"who are you?" she asked
"Susan"
" you mean Susan White?!" she practically jumped out of her shoes
"well." I started "I was Susan white"
"what do you mean?" megan asked
"here you live a completely different life. Don't get me wrong, I'm still the same Susan that's your best friend but I'm not Susan white"
"then who are you?"
"Susan Skellington" I replied
"NO WAY!" she screamed "YOU MEAN YOUR JACKS DAUGHTER?!"
"yeah and by the looks of it, you are too"
"what do you mean?" she calmed down
"I think we're twins"
