I sat in the passenger seat in Adams car as he drove me to school. Let me tell you, I wasn't excited to go back to school. Especially because the last time I was here I ended up in the hospital. But I learned a few things from being on the road. I learned not to take crap from any one. If they start stuff I will easily end it. I am not about to end up in the hospital again.

"Max, we're here." Adam said, Max was my new nick name.

"Thanks for the ride." I said.

"No problem.", I climbed out of the car and walked up to the front of the school. I remembered what Neil said to me before I pushed open the doors, "If any one starts any crap, ignore them. If they call you names, call them names back. If it gets so bad that they want to hurt you, start a riot." I opened the doors.

As soon as I walked inside, everyone's eyes were on me. I started to walk to my locker, still getting stares from everyone.

"Nice outfit." a girl said, she was wearing bright pink clothing. As for me I was wearing red skinny jeans, combat boots, a three days grace t-shirt, a leather jacket, and black fingerless gloves.

"Thanks." I said sarcastically. The girl looked at me like I killed a puppy before turning back to her friends and started to talk to them.

I walked the rest of the way to my locker and opened it. I took all of the things that I needed for my first few classes and slammed my locker shut. I walked down the hallway earning more stares but I just ignored them. I didn't care if any one was staring at me.

I walked into my first period intro to bio class. Seeing that the teacher was at her desk I gave her all of my make up work before sitting down in my seat. The bell rang, and then kids started to file into the class room, sitting in seats all around me.

The teacher started to drone on about todays lesson, when the boy that was sitting next to me flung a piece of folded paper onto my desk. The top of the folded up paper said, read this.

So I did what I was commanded and opened up the paper. Inside it read,

'So I hear that you are Adam Gontier's adopted daughter and you went on tour with them. And I was wondering, are you the rebel, badass kind of person? I mean, when you walked into school you had a leather jacket on and you are wearing leather gloves and combat boots, but you aren't wearing the leather jacket, (of course) right now. Any way, are you an outcast?"

I looked at the kid and saw that he was being completely serious, so I wrote,

'I guess I am the rebel, badass type of person. And I am considered the outcast. Why? I want to know why I sparked your attention."

I flung the paper back at him, but when he gave me the paper back all that was written on the paper was his number and the words text me later.

..............

First period was over and I was on my way to music. In all honesty I loved this class. It wasn't boring, and we didn't learn about all of this boring stuff I was excepting. All we did was learn how to play music. It was a pretty fun and easy class, considering that I learned how to play the guitar, piano, and drums when I was on tour with the band.

I walked into the class room giving Mr. Camille the make up worksheets that I did before sitting down at a random chair. By the way this class room had chairs, not desks.

I watched as kids started to fill in, I was waiting to see if Derrick was here. But, of course he wasn't here. "Ok class, today we are going to perform some songs to the class on the guitar. Now I know, Maxie wasn't here after the first day of school because she went on tour with three days grace. So before we begin, Maxie would you like to tell us about the tour?" he said.

"Sure, all we did on tour was go to a few locations in the states and they performed. But the first place we went to, on the last song they played never too late and  I got to go on stage and sing with them. It was fun." I said.

"That must've been exciting Maxie. Oh, and before I forget. Do you have a nick name that I could call you or are you fine with me calling you by your real name?" he asked.

"You can call me Max if you want, that's what everyone else calls me." I said.

Then at that moment Derrick walked in, he was holding a piece of paper in his hand.

"Sorry I'm late Mr. Camille, I got held up in my last class." he said, handing Mr. Camille the late pass.

Derrick then walked over to the empty chair beside me, he smiled at me as he sat down.

"Ok, so now that Derrick joined us, who would like to perform first?" Mr. Camille said.

I raised my hand, I guess that I'm not afraid to sing in front of people after I performed in front of millions of people at one of Adam's concerts.

"Max, I'm glad to see that you raised your hand, seeing that no one else would."

I walked up to the front of the class room and sat down at the seat that was their. I grabbed the guitar and started to play Never Too Late, the exact song that I sang at Adams concert.
