"I don't know what you've been told, but this gal right here's gonna rule the world. Yeah, that is where I'm gonna be, because I wanna be. No, I don't wanna sit still, look pretty."

Grace has gone her whole life doing exactly what her father wants her to. She only dated who her father wanted her to, she went to the college he wanted her to go to, and she's in medical school because he wants her to become a doctor. Because he's been paying for everything, she hasn't exactly fought him on it.

However, Grace doesn't want to be a doctor; she wants to be a wrestler. She's only expressed this to her father once, who told her that there was no way he would allow that to happen; her job is to sit still and look pretty.

One day, Grace makes the split decision to get a tattoo sleeve - something she's been thinking about for a long time. The minute her father finds out, he cuts her off financially.

She drops out of medical school the first chance she gets, she dyes her hair, and she gets more tattoos. Grace is finally free to be herself and she's happier than ever.

With her newfound freedom, she does the one thing she's always dreamed of: she goes to wrestling school.

It's now 2014, and Grace is working for the WWE. When she finds out that one of the company's biggest stars - CM Punk - is threatening to leave, she somehow convinces him to stay.

They had never talked before this, but she has a new friend in Punk, and he quickly makes her realize something.

Sure, she's in the WWE now, but they're telling her the same thing her dad did: sit still, look pretty.

She wants to change what a Diva is; hell, she's already kind of done that, with her crazy hair and tattoos.

He helps her figure out how to revolutionize her division, and she helps him figure out how to be happy in a company he's been angry with for a while.

***

This is based on the song by Daya, which has slowly become one of my favorite things on the radio right now. (Her real name is Grace, so instead of being original, I just named the OC after her.)

Her dad hasn't talked to her since cutting her off, and you can decide whether or not she's okay with that.

Since, in this story, Punk never left, you get to come up with all kinds of cool storylines that never happened.
