misogyny [noun] - dislike of, contempt for, or ingrained prejudice against women.

The minute Zoe signed her contract and officially joined the WWE, she knew the odds were stacked against her.

Women's wrestling was not important in Vince McMahon's eyes, so he spent little time trying to help it grow and prosper, even when NXT was proving that the fans actually liked and were behind women wrestlers.

When Sasha, Charlotte, and Becky all finally come up to the main roster, Zoe is with them every step of the way backstage. She makes sure they are welcomed to the main roster, she helps train them, and she makes sure that they are given their chance to shine.  All while keeping herself off TV.

Slowly, Zoe moves into a backstage role and is taken off TV.  She is tasked with helping the new women (Dana Brooke, Emma, Bayley) figure out what's going on, as well as training most of the main roster's women.

In September, Raw gets a new cruiserweight division.  The man at the forefront of it all? TJ Perkins.

As the biggest advocate of women's wrestling backstage, everyone warns her to stay away from him.

"He doesn't give a shit about women's wrestling."

"He's a misogynist."

"He doesn't even think the women deserve to be on TV."

When they finally meet, though, she doesn't see a problem with him.  He's nice, charming, and sweet.

Fast forward to Hell in a Cell.  Sasha Banks is defending her Women's Championship against Charlotte, the first time any women will fight inside the structure.  That morning, TJ Perkins sends out a misogynistic and cruel tweet, only to delete it minutes later.

Zoe sees it, though, and she suddenly realizes what everyone has been warning her about.

When she confronts him about it, he admits that women's wrestling isn't all that important to him, and he doesn't think that they should be main eventing the pay-per-view.

That night, Zoe decides to step back into the ring.

She's missed wrestling in front of thousands of people every night, but more importantly, she's going to prove to TJ Perkins that women's wrestling is important, respected, and most of all, worthy to be the main event of any show.

This ended up being pretty long lmao

I don't know if y'all heard about TJ's tweet? I'm referencing a real thing up there, although I'm not entirely sure what he said (since he deleted it so quickly). Why you gotta be so problematic, TJ?

Okay, so Zoe is happy to help the new women out, and she helps train mostly everybody (Natalya can offer to help sometimes, but she and Nikki Bella don't really need to be trained, you know?). While she's sad that she's not on TV anymore, Zoe is happy she's helping people backstage, and helping to get women's wrestling respected.

(She doesn't wrestle at Hell in a Cell; she just decides to start wrestling again that night.)

This is somewhat based on the song I Knew You Were Trouble  by Taylor Swift, but that song doesn't really address sexism, so idk
