I've been best friends with Mark since early childhood, so I took it pretty personally when he moved away. I understood, it was all for work, but that didn't mean I wasn't a bit upset with him for just up and leaving. I've filled the void he left with lots of text messages and online communication, especially Skype. Tonight was a good night for Skype so I logged in to see if he was online. Sure was. Of course. He always was. I clicked on his name and placed a video call. He answered right away. I waved and he waved back. "How was your day?" I asked. "Boring." he said, laughing. "I'm sick." "Aw, what's wrong?" I asked. "Cold. A bad cold." I shook my head. "I'm sorry. Anything new?" He sniffled. "No, not really. I'm just not feeling well...I've been all stuffed up for a few days now." I felt bad for Mark. "Do you need anything?" I asked. "Yeah, a maid..." he laughed, pointing at a pile of laundry. "If I was there I'd help you roomie." He smiled. "I know you would (y/n). Everyone thought I lived with a girl when we lived together because you're so neat and clean." I laughed. "Everyone thought you were gay, too." I said. True enough story. It's a pretty well known fact that I don't care for women beyond friendship. When Mark and I roomed together, everyone thought we were dating. I wished. I've always had a big crush on Mark, but I know it's never going anywhere. He doesn't have the same feelings I do. It happens. "So, when are you coming to see me?" Mark asked, spinning around in his chair. "When you pay my way out there." I laughed. Mark looked at me seriously. "Really?" he asked. I shook my head. "I can handle getting out there by myself. It's just finding the time and ability to do so that's messing with me. Work is a bitch." "Still engineering?" Mark asked. "Yeah...always. Too bad you quit, then maybe we could be working together...and still rooming together." I winked. Mark just smiled, shaking his head. "I miss you (y/n). I really do." My heart swelled. "I miss you too." "You really do need to come out here. Hang out with me and Dark or something." Dark. Now that was a name I hadn't heard in a moment. "He's still a thing?" Mark looked at me seriously. "He's more of a thing now than he used to be." he said. I cocked my head. "He's...kinda human-ish now...um, he has taken on a life of his own, to say the least." I remembered Dark. Mark and I were being stupid, swinging from trees in my parents' backyard. We couldn't have been older than 14. Mark fell off a weak branch and smashed his leg onto rocks. We laughed and laughed until something crawled out of his blood. I freaked out, Mark stayed calm. He explained Dark to me...and explained that I was one of the very few people who could see him. I was pretty terrified. I didn't talk to Mark for awhile after that, I was too afraid of Dark. "A life of his own?" I asked, confused. "Last I checked he was only detectable to very few people." "It's not like that anymore (y/n). Not even. It's a long story, but let's say, he's as detectable as you and I...and he's got a life of his own. He's calmed down a bit too. He's more nonchalant and laid back than when you met him." I took all of that in. "So I take it he's your new roomie?" "Nah. Ex roomie." Mark said. "He moved out awhile back." Moved out? Now I was really freaked out. "Just how human is he exactly?" I asked. "Pretty human. Still a demon, but pretty human, too." I shook my head. "Well that's weird. Do people...do they get the connection? I've never heard of him, that's why I'm asking." Mark shook his head. "They cannot find out. The consequences would be pretty tragic. He has VERY few people who know who he is. Now that I've told you, I have to tell him that I told you." I got nervous. "He's...not gonna do anything to me, is he?" Mark laughed. "Dark? Nah. He just has to make sure people think he's human...he can't let the cat out of the bag. He might pay you a visit though." I tensed up. "Pay me a visit? You're going to tell him where I live?" "No. I don't need to." Those words made me shiver. "He can find you if he wants. He can find anyone if he wants." I shuddered. "Alright then Mark." I said, finally. "You're not still afraid of him are you?" Mark asked, concerned. I shook my head. "I'm just processing this. Clearly some things have changed since we last hung out." Mark shrugged. "I guess...just not by much." he coughed. "Anyway, I should get going. I have to talk to Dark. Like I said, nothing to worry about...he'll probably just drop in on you for a few minutes. No biggie. I'll see you later (y/n). Let me know when you can come out!" "And as always I'll see you in the next video?" I laughed. Mark flipped me off, then smilde and waved. The call ended. I stared at my computer screen processing all of that new information. I really didn't want Dark to come by and freak me out. I have enough trouble sleeping as it is. I looked at the clock. Just after ten...so that made it just after one in Los Angeles. Typical Mark, up late probably working. I decided to go watch some TV on the couch. Nothing on but garbage. 300 channels and everything sucked. I turned the TV off and went to bed. I had barely closed my eyes when I felt something cold on my arm. I snapped awake and looked over to see a set of silver eyes looking at me. I was startled. "Calm down. Jesus, people are pussies. Remember me?" That voice. I remembered that voice. You don't forget a voice like Mark's so you don't forget a voice like Dark's. "So soon?" I asked, nervously. "That doesn't answer my question (y/n)." "Dark?" "That's it. Correct, ten points for you." "What do you want?" "Just to go over some ground rules." "Let me turn on a light." I said, crawling out of bed. I turned my lamp on. I looked at Dark. Much like Mark he had turned out to be pretty attractive. I smiled a bit to myself. "Are you okay?" Dark asked me. "I'm fine." I said. "Now what was it you wanted?" "You can't tell anyone about me." "Mark said that already." "I'm sure he did,but I have to say it again. You cannot tell anyone. Not a soul...or I'll eat yours." "You can eat any part of me anytime..." I muttered. Dark looked at me curiously, then flatly. "What an ingenious pickup line. I can barely keep my pants on." he said, sarcastically. I laughed. "Sorry." "Don't be. We can come back to that subject later." My eyes widened a bit. "Look, I just have to stress that you can't tell anyone about me. Ever. It's serious business. I can kill you for it. I'd prefer to not kill someone again." "Again?" "Again. Someone thought that it'd be cool to plan on telling their freinds they slept with a demon...and then showing me off a bit. I have human friends, not many but some. You can be one...or you can not...but you can't say anything about me being a demon." "So you're a demon? I always wondered what you are." "Blood demon. Google it sometime when you have a chance. Now what was that you were saying about eating you?" he asked. I blushed. "I...I've always liked Mark and you look just like him. I know, you're both not into men." "Mark isn't into men." Dark said. "You are?" "I'm pretty sensual. I go both ways. You know, you're not so bad looking yourself...if you want to pretend I'm Mark, I have some time." Things were moving pretty fast. Faster than what I'm used to. Dark just looked at me, blinking his silver eyes. "Soo?"he asked. "I'm game. Definitely. I'd do to you what I've wanted to do to Mark since we were kids." Dark removed his shirt. He was just like Mark. I felt that all too familiar bulge in my pants start to develop. The same bulge that occurred every time I thought of Mark. I won't lie, I know I can never have Mark, but I jerk off to the idea of us kissing and doing other things all the time. "This isn't a prank is it?" I asked. Dark wrinkled his nose at me. "No, I'm just a borderline sex addict." he said. Our mouths met. He kissed like I always imagined Mark would. Plenty of tongue and no holding back. He straddled me, pulling my shirt off over my head hastily. "Are you a top?" I asked. "Where am I sitting?" he fired back. I liked his sarcastic attitude. Strangely, it was a turn on. I bucked my hips against him, and he responded by biting my neck. Hard. His teeth scraped at my neck like I always fantasized Mark's would. "Draw blood." I moaned. "You sure?" he asked, still nipping at my neck. "Yes." I moaned, almost breathlessly. Dark clamped down on my neck and tore at it with his teeth. I moaned his name a bit. I grabbed his hips and forced my now fully hard member against him. He sat up and unzipped his pants. He was just as big as I thought Mark was...maybe even bigger. He got off of me and allowed me to take my pants off. He firmly placed me on all fours. He rubbed the tip of his hardening member against my entrance. I shuddered in pleasure. He spit on me and himself and then forced himself into me deeper than anyone ever had. He rocked his hips a bit before pounding me like an animal. I reached down and began to pleasure myself, thinking about Mark the whole time. Imagining the two of us fucking as teens and then as young adults. Dark pounded into me, dragging his nails from my hips to my ass. He growled at me a bit. I pumped myself faster imagining it was Mark doing it. I hit my release and my entire body tensed, squeezing Dark until he came too. I lurched forward and laid on my back, looking up at Dark. "Hello gorgeous." I said. Dark shyed away. "Oh stop...just kidding, keep complimenting me. I never get sick of it." I laughed. "If you fuck like that, I bet all you get is compliments." he winked. "I should get back to LA...but if you ever need me, just talk to Mark. He knows where to find me." I nodded. "Just remember, we have a contract...and I think that was us sigining it." He got dressed and fixed his hair. "I'll see you around (y/n)." he said disappearing. I felt like contacting Mark, but my face was hot with embarrassment, so I stayed put, satisfied. I did however, promptly book a flight to Los Angeles.
