Hours later at the Kira Task Force H.Q

Light's P.O.V.

    Light sat, bored out of his mind. It was 3 in the morning for god's sake. But of course the man he happened to be chained to happened to be an insomniac. This practically threw Lights sleep schedual out the window. He did not like this one bit and neither did his mind. Even though tonight was his first night he could feel his brain slowly falling asleep.

    But how could Ryuzaki stay awake for days on end and still be number 1 in the world. The question had been nagging Light for at least the past hour. How could he do it. It basically seemed impossible. But wait. The sugar. Of course how could he have missed it. Ryuzaki always consumed mass amounts of sugar every day. Light hadn't seen him eat anything other than sugar for the past few months that he had been working the case.

    But how could he still be alive and be practically skeletal at the same time. " Light your staring at me ". Ryuzaki's monotone voice rang through Lights mind as he was ripped back into reality. He looked up startled. As he locked eyes with the man before him he could feel his cheeks slightly heating up as a blush set in against his cheeks. Noticing this made his cheeks heat up even more. He looked down and hid his face from the man making him blush. " What are you doing Light-kun? " Ryuzaki asked confused

L's P.O.V.

    " What was happening to Lights face? It's kind of cute " Ryuzaki thought as he looked over to the man known as his " angel ". " Is Light- kun sick? " he asked concerned for Lights health.

    Light looked up at him directly into his eyes. " Ryuzaki are you concerned about me? " Light asked him a smirk tugging at the corners of his lips. " Does this surprise Light-kun? I care in my own way for everyone on this task force more or less some people. " Ryuzaki of course was talking about the walking blond bobble head that clung to Light like a shadow.

    He thought of how every time she smashed her lips forcefully against his angels he always saw red. He needed to get rid of these feelings before they destroyed him. The last time he let emotions get in the way people died. His only family before Wammys house died because he showed emotion. Of course they never loved him so he never really returned the favor. But what would happen if emotions got in the way on a case. Especially this one. A murder by the name of Kira that only needed a person's full name and face. This being one of the many reasons that Ryuzaki liked his alias

Other than that Ryuzaki was just a letter on a screen the man hidden behind. Many people believed he was nothing more than a machine. A crime solving machine, with no emotions. Nobody understood or rather they failed to notice that in the end he was simply human.

Light P.O.V.

    Ryuzaki looked of behind Light as Light watched him slowly lose himself in his thoughts. If Light had looked away for a moment he wouldn't have notice the single tear that fell down Ryuzakis cheek.

    Light's eyes widened as thoughts raced through his mind on why such a guarded and cold person would be shedding a tear in a room filled with people obsessed with finding Kira. " Ryuzaki are you alright? " Light asked in a whispered tone not wanting attention to be drawn to the man who was currently shedding a tear, knowing the commotion Matsuda would make.

    This ripped the main from his mind and he looked at Light as if confused by what he had said. " What Light-kun " Ryuzaki asked looking at Light as Light put a finger on his cheek causing Ryuzaki to do the same. Light watched as Ryuzaki pulled his finger away quickly feeling the tear. He quickly wiped his face and turned from Light quickly.

    " I need cake " He whispered before leaving his chair and walking to the kitchen. Because they were chained Light was pulled to the foor. A loud bang erupted through the room as Light hit the floor. The entire Task Force looked over where the two had been sitting. " Uhh Ryuzaki Lights on the floor " Matsuda stated to Ryuzaki. " Tell me next time before you leave without me, the handcuffs were your idea remember. " Light said from the floor.

    Ryuzaki simply looked at the man sprawled across the floor and turned to go back to his mission. Cake.
