L's P.O.V.

Hours later after the task force leave at around 3 am

Ryuzaki sat his knees tucked to his chest, his normal sitting position. It had been hours since the, well the incident from earlier. Why had there been a tear, on his of all faces for there to be a tear on. It was just absurd. How and why. That's what he needed to find out. He needed to know what this case was doing to him.

He broke from his thoughts as there was a light tug on the chain binding him to Light. Why had he thought of this crazy idea. Was it for the 7% chance the Light could be Kira. Or was it because of the ways he had been thinking about Light lately. Thinking about kissing him, or even cuddling next to his caramel haired angel. He looked over the the man seated behind him to find him slowly falling asleep. Murmuring something about apples or something like that. It was to low for Ryuzaki to really understand. He still couldn't believe this person of all people had broken down his wall of frost and ice and made it into his heart.

No matter how many pieces of cake he ate he couldn't shake the feelings of emotions. Something he never again thought he would feel. He couldn't shake the feeling of wanting to confess everything to Light. Was this normal? Was this how friends acted? How should he know Light was his first friend. But he felt like Light was more to him. His angel in a sense. An angel that swooped down freeing him from the shackles that held him to the madness in his mind.

He felt more attached to Light than any other human he had met before in his lifetime. What was so special about Light? Would he ever know? " Ryuzaki do you need something?" a voice asked pulling the young detective from his thoughts. " What " he asked very confused and not really hearing the full question. " I asked if you need something Ryuzaki, you haven't looked away from me in 10 minutes and I must admit it's creeping me out " Light said looking at Ryuzaki with concern in his eyes.

" um no sorry Light I was merely thinking " " About what if you don't mind " Light asked a small smile tugging on his lips. You  L thought " Nothing you need to concern yourself with Light " L said a little more harshly than he meant to. He saw Light's face lose it's glow. " Sorry L didn't mean to intrude " Light said in a quiet voice his face showing more concern for the pale man. L began to feel bad for the remark but couldn't risk showing empathy. For now the world needed to believe that the great detective L was emotionless. But was he?

L turned to the man sitting before him " I'm ...... sorry Light-kun. Please forgive my actions" L stated a look of sadness running over his features. Light's eyes widened as he noticed a man he thought to be made of ice was showing emotion. " L are you sick " Light asked honestly meaning the question. " Light-kun I have a normal temperature, what would make you think that i am ill? " L asked feeling his forehead.

" Well then what is it because you never show emotion " Light asked still in shock of the man's use of emotions. " well I can assure you I am not sick Light-kun " L stated back to his usually monotone voice. His thoughts still urged him to come back, to think about Light, to think about emotions.

Light's P.O.V.

Even as L looked away from him he could tell there was something wrong. L never showed emotion and if he did it wouldn't be with him. He was the number one suspect for the Kira case for crying out loud. But what he had just saw had made him realize something he should have known from the start. L was only human, and with all the amazing cases he had solved along with how he acted, talked, and ate everyone around him seemed to forget that fact. Everyone but Watari that is.

Light didn't know the purpose for L always having Watari around. Well besides the fact that Watari always supplied the panda eyed detective with more sweets than Light could look at without feeling sick. Light was never really someone who enjoyed sweet things, he preferred salty dished over sweet ones.
