A/N: Half term is the best. THANK YOU SO MUCH I'VE BEEN DYING.

Two weeks on, everything was fine. It was Halloween and all lessons were going to be cancelled. Orion said that the Halloween Feast was amazing and the decorations were stunning. I wanted to see if it was true. I mean, IT'S HALLOWEEN. CANDY. CHOCOLATE. HALLELUJAH! I heard the bell ring and I pushed myself off the desk. I been packing my bag under the desk. I watched as a Ravenclaw girl ran out, I followed and I sprinted down the halls. I skidded to a halt just as the door swung open. I gaped.

There were black and orange streamers criss-crossing across the ceiling. Massive pumpkins glowed in the corners and there was SO MUCH FRICKING FOOD. I slid into my seat and began filling up my plate. There were bowls of candy at intervals on the table, and potato wedges, and pumpkin juice in massive jug and so. Much. Chocolate. I joked around with Blaise a little bit and talked to Draco. I found a charm written on a napkin. I waved my wand and muttered the charm. Metamorphosis Metamoria.

Draco let out a little squeak and turned towards me. He had soft brown puppy ears and an adorable little puppies nose. He pointed his wand at me and suddenly I had long whiskers, cute black ears and a soft velvety nose. Blaise laughed and I said the charm again. He had little ears and sharp teeth, oh Merlin. Blaise Zabini had a bat face. I laughed so hard tears pricked the corners of my eyes. Blaise gave me a weird look and the looked at a spoon to see his reflection. He pretended to faint and acted all dramatic while speaking in this weirdly high pitched. Can most people speak at that high of a pitch?

I looked out of the window, it was quiet outside. The sky was a deep purple and the stars glowed softly. Everything was peaceful. I listened to the waves quietly hitting the distant shore. I watched for a moment as an owl was silhouetted against the moon. It was a crescent moon, soft and mellow. It's glow wasn't harsh at all, just little beams of heavenly light. I savored the moment, knowing it wouldn't last forever.

Sure enough, the door swung open. Amy trudged in laden with books. Se dropped them on her bed and let out a frustrated sigh. I looked over.

"What's wrong?"

"Potions, that's the problem! I just don't get it. I don't understand what to do a-and no one will help me! The Gryffindor's just sneer and taunt me. B-But no one in Slytherin likes me!"

I walked over slowly and pulled her onto her bed. I tucked a strand of blonde hair behind her ear.

"Nonsense. You're a beautiful, smart, kind and helpful girl. Sure, not every Slytherin likes you - but they don't all like me either. As for potions, why didn't you ask me? I'm your friend Amy, you just have to trust me. Okay?"

"O-Okay."

"How about you sit with Draco and I in Potions? We can help you, I'll ask Snape to add a chair."

"Y-You'd do that for me?"

"'Course I would, now go to sleep. You look dead."

I walked back to the window seat and continued to stare out at the night sky. I heard the shower water go on. The door quietly swung open and Millicent came in. She dropped a Beater's bat at the foot of her bed and collaped onto the matress.

"How was Quidditch with the guys?"

"BLAISE IS A BLOODY CHEAT!"

"That's Blaise for you. What about Flint - I mean Marcus?"

"Oooh, on first name basis now are we?"

"He's the Team Captain, Millicent. THE TEAM FREAKING CAPTAIN!"

"Yeah, yeah, whatever you say."

I rolled my eyes and shifted slightly on the window seat. I looked at hanging owl perch, Athena was asleep, her head tucked under her wing. I smiled and looked towards the bathroom door as Amy came out wearing her night stuff. I motion for her to come over. Amy sat down as Millicent went into the bathroom. I got out a potions textbook and showed Amy the drawings and sketches. I drew a few of my own on a piece of parchment. I stuck them together with some Spell-o-tape and gave it to Amy.

"Keep this, I'll make another and you can stick them together, okay?"

"Thanks Alya, you're a true friend."

I waved her away and watched as she put the book carefully into her textbook. I gave her a small wave as she turned off her light. Millicent came out of the shower and got into bed. I waved her goodnight and pulled a cushion closer.

The moon had risen, its light bathing the lake in a pale glow. I heard the call of an owl, everything was peaceful. I sat at the window  for some time. Sighing I took one more look at the night sky. I walked over to my bed and quietly got in. Millicent was asleep and Amy looked like she was dreaming. A smile crept onto my face. I rolled over and fell asleep facing the window.

I woke up to screaming. I got out of bed and ran over to Amy's bed. I grabbed her wrist and gently touched her forehead. Hot. Fever. I slapped Millicent on the leg. She got up ready to fight, I waved my hand towards Amy, she nodded and ran off. I gently shook her awake. She let out a shaky breath and looked at me with teary eyes. I handed her a glass of water and sat her upright. She gasped, dropped the glass and sank back down under the sheets. I carefully peeled back the sheets and looked at her.

"Amy, what's wrong?"

"It's s-so cold."

I placed a hand on her forehead, the heat was radiating off in waves. I got a damp cloth and placed in on her forehead. She gave a weak smile and took another shaky breath. I looked up as Snape and Madam Pomfrey came running into the room. Madam Pomfrey walked over and touched her damp forehead. I switched the cloth over and repaired the broken glass. I watched as Professor. Snape poured a drop of green liquid into her mouth. She stopped moving. Dreamless Sleep potion... nice.

Following behind, I carried a glass of water, a fresh change of clothes, her wand, some books and her toiletries. Madam Pomfrey pulled the curtain around Amy's bed. I placed all the things I was holding on her bed. I pushed a strand of her hair behind her ear. She didn't stir. I touched her warm forehead and made to leave. Madam Pomfry touched my shoulder.

"Thank you."

I shook my head. I looked at Amy's peaceful face and slipped out of the Hospital Wing. Crashing on the common room sofa, I fell into a light sleep. I mean, it would be dawn in a few hours. Right?
