Miserable. That's how I felt. It's a bloody Monday morning and one of my best friends.. I don't even know where she is! I rolled out of bed and walked into our shared bathroom. The cold stone floor stung my feet. I rolled a spare towel out and used it as an additional bathmat. Hey, at least my feet weren't cold! I hopped into the shower and let the warm water heat me up. I washed my hair and stepped of the shower. I heard Millicent moving something outside. I blow dried my hair and tied it up in a high ponytail. I adjusted my tie and walked back into the dorm. I sat on my bed and double checked my bag, today looked good. Flying Lessons, Herbology, Charms, Potions and then Care of Magical Creatures. I called out a goodbye to Millicent and walked over to my wardrobe. I opened the black box and watched as the folds of silk fell back. I carefully replaced the box and put the necklace around my neck. The green stone was cool to touch, and the wings seemed as though they were about to spread and fly. Grabbing a scarf, I pulled a sweater over my head and walked out the door. I waved to Blaise, who was scribbling on a sheet of paper on the notice board. I walked over,
"Hey, whatcha doing?"
"This bloody notice wants us to tutor people. Mudbloods, Hufflepuffs! We've got to take an hour of every weekend to tutor them. Bloody hell..."
Blaise threw his hands in the air and stalked off. I read what he'd been writing...
We will not sink so low as to tutor those filthy Mudbloods.
Sighing, I took a quill from my bag and crossed out the message. Packing the quill away, I left for breakfast.

A soft wind was blowing the autumnal leaves across the lawn, strands of my hair fell in my eyes. The air was crisp and I could hear the quiet chatter of students as I crossed the courtyard. The day seemed to be going alright, apart from it being Monday and all but.... let's ignore that? I sat in the soft grass and opened my Transfiguration textbook. I could see a few other Gyffindor students huddled around the base of the stands. I brushed a strand of hair away from my face and continued to read. Pa had given me an extra book on Transfiguration, and McGonagall has said it was a wonderful book and that I should study it. I looked up when I heard my name being called.
"Alya? Alya! Hey!"
I saw Blaise running towards me, I raised an eyebrow. What could he want?
"Hey, I was asked by Khloe to give this to you. It's something regarding that stupid tutoring thing. Yuck, take it."
I took the piece of paper from his hand and read it.
Dear Alya,
It's Khloe, I've been asked by Prof. Snape, McGonagall and Dumbledore to give this to you. Prof. Dumbledore held a meeting with all of the Heads of House and all of the Prefects. They decided that all of the Slytherins will tutor the muggle-born Hufflepuff and that all of the Ravenclaws will tutor the muggle-born Gryffindors. This will only apply to First Years, and only introductory tutoring. You will not be required to teach them and spells, hexes, jinxes, curses etc., only basic knowledge such as Apparition, the Floo Network, blood-status etc. Please do not make you assigned students biased in any kind of way.
Regards,
~Khloe Marlin
P.S. The First Years didn't take it too well, seeing as you our 'little Princess' would you mind having a word with them. Especially Draco, he seemed offended by the idea that Hufflepuffs existed - let alone needed tutoring. You assigned student is Elizabeth Ling
I looked up at Blaise, he had a small smirk plastered on his face.
"Well, it's stupid isn't it? Tutoring Hufflepuffs, honestly."
