Genius of gladness
Moron of madness
Separating sadness from her life
She could not be faulted
For her efforts so vaulted
Lofty aim...
To alleviate pain and strife.
How could she know
That her mood, her glow
Were intricately linked
Akin to a plugged sink?
With nowhere to throw
And no room for overflow
Emotions would then spill
And one slip could kill...
Her boyfriend James knew
That keeping secrets to only a few
Selectively chosen candidates
Less worries and less reactions irate.
His boss was a drug Lord
And he'd sing along that chord
Over and over, repeating
Watch out! Beware of her cheating.
James accused her of betrayal
And a loyalty failed
She denied all accusations
Scoffed at his lame intimidations
But inside her vault
Locked emotions did stew
Brewing, simmering
What was she to do?
James did one day discover
Her under the covers
With another suitor
Then it went further
He took that man to his boss
Where together they did toss
The suitor a heavy rock
So that he would not talk...
She swore fidelity forever
And vowed that never ever
Would she smile again
She would repent; now she's a witless wench
Her mind stinks an awful stench
For all of those unexpressed feelings
Are expert at stealing
A woman's spirit.
