"You know you can't come with me to school, right?" He nods and keeps purring. The rest are already asleep. "Wow. I thought you'd freak out or something." "We've gotten used to not being with you as often, but you still have to be careful," he warns. I chuckle and lay down, "Goodnight Kino."

Beep Beep Beep. Beep Beep Be- I slam my hand on the alarm, shutting it up. I grouchily get up and head to the bathroom. After my shower, I change into some casual clothes (cause why not) and run to the kitchen. I grab a slice of bacon and run back to my room. "What's got you in a rush?" Steve asks while setting pancakes for the rest of the team. "I'm 16. I have this thing called school I have to go to." I quickly reply. He chuckles. I grab my bag and brush my hair and teeth. I quickly grab my phone and earbuds and run to the elevator. As the slow death trap makes its way to the first floor, I tap my foot against the ground impatiently.

I run out the building as soon as the doors open. I check my watch and realize I have half an hour before I have to arrive at school, so I plug in my earbuds and listen to my music while walking down the streets. I stop at Starbucks to get a Chocolate Chip Frappe. As I walk down the streets, I realize how people can often forget the destruction they cause. The trash on the street, pollution, global warming, my list could go on and on. A cool wind blows, so I put my hood up.

Once I get to school, I go to my locker, which just so happens to have a group of people surrounding a possible fight. I roll my eyes and walk right in the middle of it, ignoring everyone's stares. One of the guys miss their target and punches me in the face, which, for your information, feels like nothing. The fight stops, and people stare in awe. When I open my locker, people whisper things like, "Don't mess with the new kid," or, "Man, that girl is real tough to handle Flash's punch." I grab my books and close my locker. I turn around and the guy who punched me stands in my way. "I'm Flash," he says. I say nothing. "Look beautiful, I'm sorry for hitting you. I'll make it up to you if-." I cut him off, "No. I'm fine." I start to walk to first bell, when he stops me. "What's your name?" I smirk and keep walking leaving Flash standing there. I get to my first class and go up to the teacher. "Oh! Hello Iris. You can sit next to....hmm... sit next to Flash." The teacher says while writing on the chalkboard. I internally groan and obey. Flash smirks, and I ignore him and pull out my notebook.

The teacher talks about us doing calculus or something. I don't pay too much attention in math class. I pull out my textbook and take notes. "Ok class. We have a new student today. Iris, will you stand up and introduce yourself?" The teacher says. I stop writing and shyly stand up. "Hello. My name is Iris, I am 16 years old, and I love photography and animals." I briefly state. Some people smirk or whisper to the people close by.

The bell rings, and everyone heads to their next class. I head to photography. I sit in the back again, next to a boy with brown hair and brown eyes. The teacher assigns a photography project with the people sitting next to each other. "Hey." He whispers. "Hi," I whisper back. "Want to work on the assignment at my place, or yours?" "Yours. The crazy people I live with would drive you mad." He smiles,"I'm Peter." "Iris." We talk about our assignment for the rest of class. I head to my locker when I hear a roar. A roar that isn't familiar. I turn my head and see a girl with wolf ears and tail run down the hall, snarling. Everyone runs, and I change into my suit. The mutant looks at me briefly. At that moment I see something, and it's not anger. It's confusion and fear. But that moment ends as black lines appear on her skin. Her eyes turn soulless. She tries clawing me, but I dodge her attacks, and use my vines to trap her. Spider-Man shows up. "Took you long enough!" "I'm sorry, are we partners or something?" "Whatever. I got this handled. You go help the students." He nods and leaves. I look at the girl again. "Shhh. Calm down. I'm not going to hurt you, no one is." I allow the vine to loosen, giving her some free space. I put my hand on her head. The girl calms down, and faints. I catch her and hear sirens go off. I quickly grow my wings. I carry her and fly to the tower. Bursting through the doors to my room, I set the girl down on my bed. "JARVIS, when the girl wakes up, keep the door locked, no matter what." "Yes Miss Iris." I smile and leave the room, going back to school. I get there and see everyone going back to their classes.

"What did I miss?" I walk up to Peter. "Where were you?" I rub the back of my neck nervously, "I may have........tried to...... uh....... watch ..... Spider-Man and that other superhero." He looks at me worriedly, "Did they hurt you?" I shake my head. His hands wrap around me and he gives me a hug. I hug him back.
