Warning: I've changed the part where Gon fights Gido before the water divination to after. Hope it doesn't bother anyone ;p;
Erika, Gon, and Killua stood still in the glasses man's house who identified himself as 'Wing'.
Next to him was a boy about Gon's size wearing a white judo looking uniform. His name was Zushi.
Zushi was staring admirably at Erika, who in return, gave him a fake smile. The boy blushed and turned away as Erika refocused her attention to Wing.
"I can teach you about Nen." He said.
〜
Erika observed carefully as Wing opened both twelve year-olds Aura Nodes up with Genhou and made sure none of them were injured.
"Are you sure you don't need assistance Okarii-san?" Wing asked thoughtfully. Erika shook her head politely and watched as her friends practiced controlling their Nen, also known as Ten.
The purplette was quite surprised to see such gifted auras seep out of them and was even more amazed as they swiftly controlled the Nen flowing through their bodies.
Wing, as well as Zushi, was also amazed at their speedy progress, though Zushi seemed a bit down that they didn't require that much time to get Ten down.
When Gon and Killua opened their eyes they high-fived. "Not bad." Erika commented, smugly, with an obvious tone of sarcasm.
Killua responded pro-ly by asking for a demonstration which Erika denied. "If I show you now then you'll all know my capabilities." She said. The snow haired assassin nodded at this statement. "Alright. Let's continue Gon!" Gon smiled widely and agreed before slipping back into Ten mode.
〜
"And Hatsu is the release of Nen. Also known as Nen abilities." Wing finished, pointing to his chart.
Gon oohed while Killua aahed. Zushi, however, stuck out his nose proudly, "I've already learned all this." He said confidently.
The sapphire-eyed assassin rolled his eyes. "Wing-san? How do we know which Nen group we fit into?" He asked.
Wing beamed as he began to explain Water Divination and how it placed you into your Nen group.
Wing then got out a glass and placed a small delicate leaf atop it. "If the volume of the water expands it means your an Enhancer. If the taste of it changes your a Transmuter. If the color of your water changes your an Emitter. If impurities appear in your water your a Conjurer, and if it moves your identified as a Manipulator. If nothing I've described happens your a Specialist." He said trivially.
Gon placed his two hands on the sides of the glass. He concentrated Ren into his hands and focused intensely on the water. The water bubbled and went over the edge by just a drop. Wing smiled and stated Gon as an Enhancer like himself.
Next, Killua placed his hands on the sides and repeated what Gon had done. The water rippled but nothing changed. Wing picked up the water and tasted. Surely, it had become sweeter.
"Your a Transmuter, Killua." Wing said. They turned to Erika, "How about you Okarii-san?" Erika flinched before cautiously putting her hands on the sides and focusing Ren.
The water rippled before it exploded. Wing tasted the water that had landed on the corner of his mouth. "It's sweet like a Transmuter but exploded like a Specialist?" He said.
Erika rubbed her arms before explaining. "At first I was just a Transmuter before my Nen fully evolved into a Specialist sort of thing." She said. "I am able to Transmute fire and shadow but somehow I was able to emit it and shape its form into something entirely new." Wing seemed mystified. "I've never seen a Transmuter mature into a Specialist before. Does anyone know about this?" He asked. Erika nodded thinking about her other family.
"Hmm." The area around them became awkward and uncomfortably choking. Wing noticed and decided to change the subject. "Well, continue practicing your Water Divination and if you pass my standards I'll allow you to move on to the 200th floor." He said.
New hope arose in Gon and Killua's hearts as they say, "Yosh!"
〜
It was the last day of the deadline for the three to enter their papers and enroll in a match, it was also the last day for them to prove worthy of using Nen.
As Gon placed his hands on the sides of the glass and amplified his Ren into it the water over spilled onto the table and dripped off to the rug. Happily, Erika congratulated her friend before turning to watch Killua.
He, too, followed the procedures Gon went through and when his water rippled and Wing went to taste his water it was as sweet as honey.
The best friends high-fived each other while grinning before thanking Wing and rushing to the counter to turn in their papers.
The lady at the counter stamped the forms happily and directed them to the same hallway. Erika applied herself with a thin layer of Nen using Ten while the boys used a mild amount to equal to Hisoka's. The trio cut smoothly through the Nen barricade and were congratulated by the ever so pedophile, Hisoka.
A grin played its way onto his lips as he then disappeared into the murky shadows of the hallway. Erika shivered at the wrong feeling that scurried its way onto her spine.
The purplette shook it away. No, she thought. We succeeded. That's all that matters right now.
The three transferred back into their spacious rooms. Gon stared at his match form while Killua stared at a schedule. Erika, too, had an upcoming match with three-- no four- people eager to watch.
She groaned underneath the warm waters of the shower as she made the Nen surrounding her body transmute into purple flames that scorched any other droplet from touching her skin. Before they could even land, the water that was emitted from the shower head evaporated into steam.
What a hectic few weeks. Erika thought.
