The Nostrade family bodyguards cowered as they watched the two people rip through the Mafia like paper and marveled at how much power was packed in the mysterious man's punch.

Their eyes also widened at the masked purple haired girl as she let loose a tiger of purple fire.

Now up against Shadow Beasts the monster duo seems unfazed.

Meanwhile....

Erika was scorching as tiny little prickles of hair stuck to her hand. "Get off you hairball!" She shouted. The Shadow Beasts smiled and said "Yup yup."

Annoyed as hell, Erika transmuted enough purple fire to singe the hairs long enough for her to escape. Uvogin the tried to finish off the Shadow Beast with a punch but was put in a similar situation as she had been in only a moment ago.

"Uvo want me to burn him?" Erika asked. "Nah, I got it Ika." She frowned at his stubbornness. "Fine, but if you somehow die I'll pick a little pansy as your replacement."

Uvo grumbled. "You think I'll die just because of this? I'm quite torn!" He joked. The Nostade bodyguards gaped as they watching the two joke around.

While they were laughing Rabid Dog lunged. He tore off a piece of skin from Erika's shoulder and spat it out. "Ah." She said, looking at the torn flesh.

The teen retaliated with a killer's glare. Her eyes resembled flames as she transmuted shadowfire, a Nen ability she learned while experimenting.

"Ah crap." Uvogin said as he began running off. "You're very lucky my friend that you won't die like this." He told the Shadow Beast.

"Hell's Shadow." Erika said. The Shadow Beast jumped back in alarm but it didn't matter. The purplette gave him a sweet smile before the whole arena-like area was set aflame with black fire. The fires burned hotter than a hundred million degrees and melted the skin off Rabid Dog. He screamed in agony as she continued to burn him till nothing remained. His ashes fell to the ground as the shadowfire vanished.

The rock that was once an orangish tan was now scorched a dark black. The ground was like a molten rock with the temperature of lava multiplied by a million.

Erika smiled at the sight, bloodlust the only thing on her mind. "Ah.. I finished too quickly." She said. Uvogin chuckled as he stepped out of his hiding spot.

The purplette reached down into the pile of ashes and let them flow in the wind. The hairy Shadow Beast watched horrified at the damage she dealt.

Leech, the other Shadow Beast, patted down his dark clothes that were emitting grey smoke. She turned back to Uvo with a sugar-coated smile, her hands holding onto each other behind her back.

He grinned back at her but in reality, inside the purple haired girl, another fragment of her already fragile heart broke off. Erika realized this and was on the verge of tears. Willing herself, she turned around and said, "Oh well. You can handle this Uvo, right?" Uvogin gave her a thumbs up and continued to fight while Erika stepped out of the crater and climbed up the rocks.

"I'll be back! Something just caught my eye!" She called out to the rest. A grunt responded her as she wobbled the opposite way of the troupe, towards the bodyguards.

Dizzy and aching Erika stumbled. Her mask was slipping but she didn't really care. Tears pricked at the corners of her eyes. Just as a gun was pointed at her face Erika fell to the ground, unconscious. Her mask split in two and the tears that rimmed her eyes escaped making two clear lines of liquid run.

That was where Kurapika found her.
