Dalzollene was shocked to enter the room and see the two teens together. He stood there stiffly and confused before he was pushed away by the other bodyguards.
They, too, were shocked and confused by the scene but the two actually in it didn't really care.
Erika exhaled as she loosened her grip on Kurapika's body and retracted her arms from him. She stared kindly at his face and gave him a small smile before sitting back onto the steel table.
Kurapika turned to his boss with a hard, confident expression. He didn't back down either as Dalzollene approached him.
"What was that?" He asked the blonde. Kurapika searched for the right words inside his head before a sweet feminine voice interrupted him. "That was a long awaited reunion, sir." Erika said. "Sir?" Dalzollene asked suspiciously. The purplette let out a fake giggle and gave Kurapika's boss a sweet smile.
An irksome mark appeared on the bodyguard's face as he made a move to re-strap her onto the table. Kurapika blocked the Nostrade bodyguard with his hand and glared.
"Oi, Kurapika, what's wrong with you? Did she brainwash you or something?" Dalzollene asked. The blonde's eyes began changing from brown to scarlet until a warm hand on his shoulder stopped him. He smiled at the purple-haired girl behind him and came to a conclusion.
"Sorry, Dalzollene-san, but I think I'm finished in working as a bodyguard." Kurapika said.
[Warning]
Plot changes quite drastically from here on. Kurapika quits his bodyguard job to join Erika on her journey but doesn't lose his bloodlust for the Phantom Troupe. His hate continues to grow, actually, as he hears Erika's story.
Dalzollene looked at Kurapika in disbelief. "Quit?! What do you mean?! What did this witch do to you?!" He shouted. The dog man and Melody nodded with him for they were thinking the same thing too.
"Sorry, but I don't think I can take being away from her any longer and just see her every now and then." Kurapika explained. Erika blushed lightly as her bangs covered her face. "S-shh! That's embarrassing!" She scolded. Kurapika chuckled, ignoring the rest of the people in the room again to fully focus on the purple haired girl in front of him.
"But." Erika began. The blonde prepared himself mentally for what she was about to say. "Are you sure you'd like to accompany me? I'd prefer you to stay safe, but of course you wouldn't listen." Kurapika nodded confidently and gasped, surprised, when two hand wrapped around his body once more and a warm entity pressed against his. "Sometimes, I just wish you didn't have to endure this and that you got angry with me, y'know?" She told him.
Kurapika then nodded to his former once more before grasping Erika's hand and pulling her out of the room. When they were out of the building the purplette pulled on the blonde's hand.
"I'm sorry Kurapika for making you lose your job." Erika said, apologetically. "I know how much you enjoyed your it." She said guiltily. The blonde shook his head. "I enjoy myself much more when I'm with you." He told her.
Erika turned tomato red and she stomped off away from him, completely forgetting about the invisible Nen thread attached to her skin and forgetting about the spider troupe that was rushing her way as the two spoke.
I feel like something is very off... Erika thought. She shrugged it off and continued on., ignoring the lurching feeling inside her soul.
That was quite the mistake as a shout echoed in the distance.
