Changing the Time

CHAPTER THREE - THE SAME LIFE AS YESTERDAY

I wake up and get ready for school thinking that maybe it was just a crazy dream more like hoping.
I looked up at the mirror to see my red eyes.

I picked up my phone that I haven't used at all since school began yesterday.

Texts:

Deven <3 : please talk to me

Deven <3 : are you still confused

Deven <3 : please talk to me baby

Eli : hey kenz what you were talking about kinda got to me can we talk?

Kelly : hope you got a clearer head today

Kate : can you talk?

Evan : are you spreading rumors about me? Kelly told me what you were saying is that what you really think of me? We've never really talked...

I read all the text and realize that it must of been my dream. I should of realized earlier. Did my dream change my life?
Can I get my life back?

I shaky breath comes out "I'm going to get my life back." I smile at myself in the mirror.

I go through my contacts and realize there's no Jake.

"OH SHIT!"

I never supposably became friends with Evan so there was never no Jake in my life.

"That's definitely going to be a hard one to get back..." I say running down the stairs and Taylor comes over.

"Hey your late lets get to my car hurry!" Taylor yells at me playfully.

I laugh and run out to her car and smile seeing that we were still friends.

"How's your boyfriend." I say and shut my mouth realizing that my past might of stopped her from that boyfriend somehow.

"He's good." She says driving out of the driveway.

"You were acting cray cray yesterday it's all over school -" Taylor starts but I block her out.

How am I going to fix this?
I'll go for Kelly first!

We eventually get to school and I hop out saying goodbye to her and heading inside. I sprint up the stairs and head to my locker opening it and getting the stuff I needed for the day.

"Can we talk?" I look up to see Deven's caring face.

"Yeah but don't call me crazy cus I'm still thinking the same thing as yesterday.." I trail on crossing my arms and look down. He doesn't speak for awhile but it feels almost like it was meant to be like that. Deven and me never shut up but this felt good a different kind of good.

"Remember in sixth grade when I broke up with you?" I asked looking up and he looked at me understanding.

"Because you thought we were better friends." I says like it was a fact.

"I didn't break up with you because of that, I broke up with you because my best friend was jealous and that I thought I liked him more than I ever liked you I was wrong i love you deven and I always will." I said looking down again.

"Why does it feel like this is the end of something?" Deven said realizing what I was doing.

"Something is ending.." I say looking back up, "I always meant to tell you but I could never get it out, You mean the world to me." I say trying to make him understand.

"For some reason I've always knew that you didn't break up with me for that reason back then I knew it had to be Cam." He said turning angry

"Don't be mad at me.." I say feeling so much guilt I've felt for so many years.

"I'm not mad at you." Deven says looking through the crowd. He spots what he was looking for and started running towards it.

"DEVEN!" I yelled chasing after him and then realizing he had grabbed someone and pounded them into the lockers.

"GET OFF OF ME!" Cam yelled.

People started crowding around them and I pushed them out of the way I see Deven punch Cam. I jump in the way of them so that Deven can't hit him.

"YOU JACK ASS YOU RUINED EVERYTHING!" Deven yells as more people crowd around.

Cam looks shocked "I DID NOTHING TO YOU!"

"YES YOU DID KENZIE AND ME WHEN WE WERE FIRST DATING YOU BROKE US UP DIDN'T YOU! YOU LITTLE BASTARD!" Deven yells almost getting back to Cam and punching him again.

"HELP!" I yell as two figures emerge from the crowd Evan and Eli. "We got this." they said as Kate grabbed me and led me off to the girls bathroom.

10 minutes later the principle came on the speaker and told us that classes were canceled because multiple people were now picking fights.

"You wanna come home with me?" Kate asks "I'm going to invite some people over to hang out."

I nod and we start to walk home until three people yell "BOO!"

Kelly, Evan, and Eli were all standing behind us. I laugh missing the old times already.

"Hey guys." Kate and I say together. I had found out they were coming to the party by now.

Since when are Kate and Evan friends?

"Hey Evan sorry I didn't get back to you over text I was kinda out of it yesterday as everyone knows." I play it off like its not big deal.

"It's okay." He says slinging his arm around Kelly and grinning.

He's never grinned like that what the fuck. This world almost seems better for everyone else but me.

"Maybe we can be friends." I say

"Maybe." He said taking in a deep breath.

Evan and I have went through a lot of shit in the old world if there was anything I was looking for it was to make that not happen. I look at his arm around Kelly and cringe, does he even like her. I look at Kate who was chatting with Eli literally on each other.

Eli looked back at me and winked. WHAT THE FUCK

I look away playing it off like it was nothing maybe I got something in my eye and just thought I saw something I didn't.

We chat and joke for awhile until we get to Kate's house. "My parents aren't home so you can yell as load as you want." she says jokingly and winks at Eli.

"WOAH! SEX!" I joke laughing.

"Don't go there but maybe Kelly and Evan will." Kate laughs.

Kelly glares at her and then goes to me "but you know I like that butt though." Evan says as Kelly drops to the ground.

"Honey your not getting this now!" Kelly yells.

"But I was a few minutes ago." He says with a smug face.

"uh that's not what I meant." she says trying to cover it up and starts to blush.

"OMG YESSSSSS!" I yell laughing hisatrically.

This is the first time I'd been happy in this world until Eli had to get his mouth moving in my business.

"So are you and Deven broken up?"
