Changing the Time

CHAPTER EIGHT - ITS GOING DOWN

I cross my arms uncomfortable not knowing what to say to Eli. Moments have went by with complete silence and it felt like a fight was going to strike.

"Did you just tell her that I love her?" Eli asked uncomftarble and crossing his arms a shiver went through my spine. "I also told her I don't care." Evan barks back.

I look at Evan seriously trying to see what was wrong with him oh right he's Evan.

"So you love her too?" Eli questions as you hear his breathing going heavy.

Evan chuckles as he scratches his face as trying to stall time just to get on Eli's nerves. "Yes I did tell her I loved her." Evan smirks.

I look over my shoulder her to see Eli glaring at Evan. I look at Evan once more to see him doing the same. I take a single breath and grab Eli.

"Stop." I mutter at him.
"Aren't you like best friends!" I hiss at him trying to talk some kind of since into him. I was starting to think talking since into Eli was impossible. He stared at me and then looked at Evan "you forgot one word..." Eli said waiting for someone to ask what that one word was.

"Used.." Eli said glaring at Evan once more and grabbing on to me. "I'm taking her home I think she shouldn't be with you right now." Eli calmly says. I stand corrected Eli is the most stubborn person I've ever met, he just won't give up.

"I think I should take Kenzie back to her house.." Eli nearly growled and he wasn't asking because he grabbed me and started walking to my house. It had been a year since Eli had come to my house.

He kept a grip hold on my hand and I was very numb to the feeling now. It had sunken in that I might not be able to move my hand went he lets go. I chuckled a little bit and then he looked back at me glaring.

"Why didn't you answer my text?" Eli sighed it was probably the only thing he has a right to say to me.

"Well I was with Evan and I was busy..." I trail off looking at the cars going by. I look back at Eli and he's still looking at me trying to search for a better answer.

When Eli sees me staring back at him he turns around and continues to walk. My lips go dry as I try to think of what I'm going to say to him.

We walk in silence until we get to my house. Eli finally lets go of my hand and I finally realize what I'm going to say.

"In the other world we broke up and we're friends and you realized what Evan was for me.." I say grabbing my key out of my backpack and unlock the door. I go in and he follows behind me.

"And what is Evan to you?" He slowly says searching my eyes.

"Evan is a guy he was my best friend and then he wasn't." I say realizing that I had always hoped that Evan would talk to me again.

"Oh.." Eli said searching everywhere else in the room.

"Evan was everything to me at once but he's not anymore." I swiftly said and he looks at me.

"Maybe your world is actually the real world...." Eli thinks.

"Or maybe I'm insane!" I chuckle and he laughs.

"I don't think your insane I just can't believe I actually believe another world being out there..." He stutters disbelieving what he'd just said.

"Then why'd you say it?" I asked lightly touching him.

Eli looks down at my hand on his "because I know that there is I might not believe it but I know.."

"So I'm not crazy I KNEW IT!" As I yell throwing myself in the air and jumping around the house.

"Calm down.." He smiles.

I smiled back not calming down. I jumped on the couch until I got so tired I fell onto it.

Eli was sitting by me when I fell. We went up to my room and I turned on the television. A few minutes of forcing Eli to watch divergent which he hated. A knock came from the door.

"Yes?" I asked.

"It's Kate!" Kate sobbed about to open the door but I looked at Eli grabbing him and shoving him into the closet.

"HE LEFT ME FOR SOMEONE ELSE!" Kate said sobbing and pacing around the room.

"IM GOING TO KILL THAT GIRL ONCE I FIND OUT WHO SHE IS!" She yells angrily looking directly at me.

"What if she hadn't known that he had feelings for her?" I asked nervously wanting to know if she ever found out she wouldn't kill me.

"ID STILL KILL HER SHE RUINED MY RELATIONSHIP AND IM PREGNANT!" Kate yells sobbing onto the ground.

I looked at her wide eyed and look at the eye in the creak of the closet, Eli was about to come out. I jammed myself on the closet not wanting to get blamed for what he said. She'd kill me double the time.

"Maybe he didn't leave you for anyone maybe that's how it sounded..." I say reassuring her.

"NOOOOOOO HE SAID HES LEAVING ME FOR A GIRL!" Kate said starting to weep harder. Tears were pouring down her face and I was starting to feel really bad for Eli being in the closet.

As Kate always says it's better to lie than tell the truth.

"Hey Kate I'm sorry to say this but you have to leave my parents will kill me if they find out your over I'm not suppose to have anyone over today.." I say looking at the door.

"Oh well call me.." She sniffles as a tear goes down her face.

"Yes call me when you get home." I state as I lead her out the door of my room.

"Goodbye!" We say at the exact same time.

The closet opens and Eli's stricken face comes out of it. "Don't tell me you knew she was pregnant?!?" He croaks.
