Hey guys so the link is for Jade's Homecoming outfit thanks so much for everything(:
Chapter 13:
Jade's P.O.V:
"Don't be nervous," Ellie said as her and Lacey clung to each one of my arms.
We had decided to have the girls and guys arrive separate. I guess it would make it like a secret affair or something when I still had not decided between Gage or Elijah.
We stepped into the dark gym's strobe lights and we spotted them immediately.
Lacey had worn a baby pink lace dress (ironic I know) and it looked nice against her new peek-a-boo hairstyle.
Ellie wore a peach strapless dress that looked nice against her caramel hair.
I wore a navy dress that bore a tribal pattern and I absolutely fell in love with it when we were dress shopping the other day.
I had paired off-black suede heels and a pale pink handbag that matched some of the flowers of the dress.
For earrings I had pearls on that were chained in gold, black and gold bracelets to match.
I was no expert at fashion but I think I did a good job at slapping this outfit together last minute. It was the perfect combination of "casual school dance trash" to make me cringe.
"Do you want to dance?" A voice said behind me as a slow song began to play.
It was Elijah.
I nodded and took his hand as he led me out to the dance floor.
Many couples surrounded us along with Lacey paired with Sunter and Elli and Graham, swaying back and forth to the rhythm of the song.
He wrapped his arms around my waist and I laced my arms around his neck and we began to rock back and forth in sync.
It was a very slow song and I think the name was something like "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)" since I had heard it before on my phone.
"You look so beautiful tonight," he whispered in my ear.
"And I don't normally?" I replied with a smirk.
He chuckled at my remark.
"You just look. . . different. That's all, a good kind of different," he said.
"Thanks," I spoke as I rested my head on his shoulder.
The song was over and before I knew it I was locked in his gaze.
And that's when he made his move.
He swiftly cupped my cheeks with his hands, pressing his lips to mine, until I felt something.
Gage was staring at us, a heart broken look in his eyes as he stood there, catching his breath with such sadness and disappointment in his eyes.
"Gage. . . I. . . I can explain!" I said, as he started running.
I took off after him, ignoring the cries of the others.
I kicked my heels off as I ran through the front doors, my speed gaining by losing these obstacles on my feet.
I picked up my pace, my feet licking the ground just behind his ankles.
"Stop following me!" he shouted over his shoulder.
"No!" I yelled corresponding his message.
"Fine!" he said.
By this time we were in the forest and I did not expect him to stop.
