As soon as they opened the door Leah came running out of her room. She squealed as she saw Mitch and ran to him. Mitch quickly let go of Scott's hand and picked Leah up as she ran into his arms.

He hugged her tightly and kissed her forehead. "Uncle Mitchy! I knew you'd be back! I kept telling Daddy but he wouldn't believe me." Mitch looked at her with a sad smile.

"Well I'm here now and I'm not going anywhere." Mitch said glancing at Scott.

"Are you sad? Why are you crying?" Leah ask poking Mitch's cheek.

"Not sad anymore now that I'm here with you guys." Mitch said and leah smiled widely.

"Yay!" she squealed and hopped out of Mitch's arms. "Can we watch a movie? I wan't to watch Dory!" Mitch giggle and nodded.

Leah grabbed Mitch's hand and brought him into the living room. They searched for something to watch before the movie while Scott cooked dinner. Once Leah was engrossed in the television, Mitch walked into the kitchen and sat on one of their bar stools across the counter.

Scott smiled awkwardly before frowning and looking back at the soup. "Where did you go?" Scott asked quietly not looking at him.

Mitch took a deep breath, "I went to the remote beach like three hours away. I didn't know where I was going. I just ended up there when I couldn't drive anymore without falling asleep."

"Where did you sleep?" Scott asked still not looking at him.

"At a hotel across the street. I couldn't bring myself to come back. I'm sorry." Mitch said his voice starting to shake.

Scott glanced at him before shaking his head, "Stop apologizing. The whole thing is a lot to process. If I could have drove to a remote beach and stay there for two weeks I would've."

"But you couldn't and you needed me to help you and I fell off the face of the earth." Mitch said sighing, "I left and ignored you when you needed me the most."

"Well you're here now." Scott said his voice slightly tight. Mitch looked up at him his eyebrow arched. "i hate hearing you talk bad about yourself. I've always hated it. Ever since we were little you were so insecure and you would always bring yourself down and I hate it."

"This is different. I'm not just being insecure I-" Scott interrupted him.

"I know that you should have been here end of story. We've said it. You apologized. It's over. Now stop putting yourself down." Scott said turning off the burner. "Dinners ready." he said quietly before exiting the kitchen to go get Leah.

After a long dinner that consisted of Leah talking both the men's ears off and awkward glances between them, they all sat down on the couch to watch Dory. Mitch sat on the opposite end of the couch as Scott with his knees to his chest where as Leah was sitting the closest as she possibly could to the T.V.

Scott kept staring at Mitch as the movie progressed. About 45 minutes into the movie Scott had had enough. He scooted all the way over so that their legs were touching and he put his arm around him.

Mitch looked at him confused and Scott whispered, "Why are you so far away?"

Mitch looked down at his hands, "I thought that you didn't want me to... We just... I don't know we were just arguing." Scott shook his head quickly.

"Never will I ever not want to cuddle with you. Not even if we fight. I always want you back in my arms. I hope you know that." scott whispered before kissing Mitch's forehead. Mitch relaxed a little and rested his head in Scott's neck.

Mitch rested his eyes accidentally falling into a deep sleep. When his eyes opened he saw Scott pick up a deep sleeping Leah and leaving the living room. Mitch closed his eyes again hoping that when Scott came back he would carry him too.

Scott walked back into the room and smiled at the small man pretending to sleep. Little did Mitch know Scott could tell when Mitch wasn't sleeping anymore.

Scott kneeled down next to him and rubbed his back. He kissed Mitch's forehead. His hands made their way to both his sides. He started tickling and Mitch's eyes snapped open.

"Stop!!" He whispered harshly but Scott just giggles and continued looking at the squirming boy in his arms.

Mitch pushed him back so hard that Scott fell onto the ground but Scott brought him with him. Scott laid on the ground his arms wrapped fully around Mitch so that he was literally laying on top of him.

Their faces were barely an inch apart and they were breathing heavy on each other's lips. They were both looking at each other's lips but each were too afraid to make the move.

"That's what you get for pretending to be asleep so that I could bring you do bed." Scot whispered still looking at Mitch's lips.

Mitch blushed closing his eyes for a second, "oops." He shrugged and pulled away to sit up so that he was straddling him.

Mitch looked down in his lap, "I know we should talk about it but can we just have tonight to ourselves? And just forget about everything?"

Scott nodded getting up off of Mitch and held out a hand to help him up. Mitch took it gladly and stood up. He noticed how close he was to Scott yet again and moved away.

Scott pulled him back to him so that they were just inches away. "Why do you keep doing that? Moving away from me?" Scott asked and Mitch broke eye contact.

"Lots of reasons." Mitch whispered, "I still feel guilty... but we don't want to talk about that at the moment. And to be honest. I'm used to being with you at a distance. These past few years I've had step back and... well... I still feel like I shouldn't cross that line. You just lost your husband-" Scott let go to him and sighed loudly.

"When will you get it in your head that you saved me from him? When will you realize that you're the hero?" Scott asked.

"I don't feel like a hero." Mitch whispered and Scott shook his head sitting down.

"I don't know what to do to make you realize that you're the one that saved me and are the only one that can keep me from disappearing. You just being here for a few hours has relieved me from so much stress."

Mitch sat down next to Scott on the couch, "I'm..." he cut himself off from apologizing, "I am happy that I'm here." Scott giggled.

"Did that take a lot of effort?" Scott asked Mitch nodded giggling.

"I love you." He said seriously looking Scott in the eye, "that didn't take any effort."

"I love you too." Scott said with a big grin on his face.

Mitch rested his head in Scott's chest. "Can we go to sleep?" Scott giggled and kissed his forehead before getting up.

Mitch stood but immediately was lifted from the ground. Scott had picked him up bridal style. Mitch giggled and wrapped his arms around his neck.

"Let's go to bed Princess." He whispered walking into his bed room. Scott payed him down and put the covers over him before climbing in next to him.

"I'm sorry if you want your own bed I really need you to be next to me." Scott whispered after turning the light off.
Mitch cuddled into Scott's chest, "me too."
