Chapter 4: Dawn of the Futuretech Dragon

What happened to a Dragon Knight's honor? Does Kyle doesn't have that anymore? He just mercilessly killed a weak dragonoid in front of my eyes. He didn't even try to negotiate! Are all the magazines and comments about him forged?

Brow has been impaled to the ground by the sword that has been struck by the dragon knight on his shoulders. He can't move because of the pain. After dealing with the grizzly-looking dude, the dragon knight named Kyle rushed to the underground path to chase the fleeing dragonoids.

The beautiful golden haired woman immediately rushed to me. She held my arms and checked for any injuries but I am completely fine. This filthy dragonoid... is a disgrace. I don't know if she's wearing a mask to be this comfortable at me...she shouldn't let her guard.

"Are you okay?" she asked.

I grabbed the sword beside Richard and then made a slash to the dragonoid! The golden haired dragonoid managed to evade but her clothes has been sliced. It revealed the upper part of her chest. As I thought, dragonoids are weakest if their dragon knights are not with them. They don't have the ability to transform into dragon form on their own. Aside from that, I have learned from magazines that Elumina is not a battle type dragon. She specializes in healing!

I wordlessly glared at her. She made a sorry face, but that's not the deal right now. I have to go after that damn dragon knight!

"Amphere, follow Airelina!" Brow shouted. "I'll be okay!"

I will do it even if you didn't tell me. My top priority is Airelina's safety, and no one else's! I raced through the underground path like hell. I have to stop the dragon knight from massacring those poor dragonoids! I have to save...

"Airelina..."

I... Why am I doing this? Why am I going to defend a terrorist!? Is it because she helped me? Is it because she is my first dragonoid friend? Is it because of her adorable smile? Is it because it was the dying wish of Richard!? I don't know! All that matters is...

"Airelina...Airelina...Airelina...Airelina..."

I kept muttering her name until I reached light; the surface. There were tall buildings everywhere. There were no people in this place maybe because of the bomb threat. I looked left, right. Where is Airelina!?

"Kya!" there was a faint shout. Without thinking twice, I dashed forward to the source of the sound and then, I finally saw her.

She was crucified by knifes that has impaled her palms and shoulders to the wall. Her leather clothes has been torn and stained with blood. She was being tormented by the dragon knight with a cold stare, Kyle Leviticus!

"I'll ask you again before I put this knife to your chest. Where are the dragonoids?" Kyle asked blandly.

"Get away from her!" I made a thrust with Richard's sword.

The dragon knight immediately stepped back and grabbed the blade while having his finger avoid the edges then threw it upward to disarm me. He made a roundhouse kick to my left neck which resulted me being knocked down.

"A...Amphere..." Airelina called my name in a faint voice. She was just a meter beside me, yet I can't reach her.

When the dragon knight turned around, I immediately stood up and rushed to Airelina! I grabbed the knife that has been keeping her pinned on the wall then stabbed it to the dragon knight! Too bad, he managed to block it with his arms, which blood sprayed to my face.

He stepped back, and withdrew another slim sword from his waist. He made a straight line hack, but I luckily managed to block it with the knife I was holding! There was another attack, a thrust directing to my chest! But I parried it away using the knife!
