Amphere Harrison

The Fairy Dragon charged green balls of light from its humanoid hand, and then threw it simultaneously to a white-feathered dragon that has talon arms and feet. Eva's enemy looks more like a griffon, but it is the innate physical feature of an Avian Dragon. The knight, who was riding on its head, fell to the ground. His Shield Plate dropped to 23%, but it didn't end there. Reina charged with her glowing short sword and slashed the foe, completely depleting the energy of the enemy's Shield Plate to 0%.

Once the Shield Plate reaches 0%, a participant will be eliminated in the tournament. Not just that, but once you are eliminated, you are immediately fetched by a transporter. It is a special crawling tank that is invulnerable to any attacks.

Our team already managed to take down seven of the dragons, and the other nine remaining dragons poses a problem. They are not that strong for us, but our dragons are now exhausted of battling. We have been fighting two if not three hours, and it's almost dawn.

A flying wooden spear struck Airi's left wing. Because of that, we crash landed on the vast forest. Then Airi reverted back to her humanoid form. Huff puff. She was panting heavily as she checked the scrapes all over her body. The way they conduct the tournament without providing Shield Plates for dragonoids...I hate it.

Airi noticed me clenching my fist in anger so she looked at me with a charming smile and raised her hand to my face with a peace sign. "I'm okay, totally!" She said in a jolly manner. Then she continued to wheeze.

23%. I wonder how long I can keep this Shield Plate going. Since no one saw our landing site, I think we could rest in this place for a bit.

I scanned the surroundings. The other three dragons; our comrades are in deep trouble. Electric balls surged to the Chaos Dragon which resulted to its immediate defeat. Kyrie returned to her humanoid form in an instant and she almost crashed to the ground. Good thing Rudolf caught her in time.

I didn't notice that Emy and Eva has been reverted back to their humanoid form too. They are too exhausted that they fell to the ground and hardly gasp for some air. Alder and Reina used their swords to drive off charging knights while protecting their exhausted dragonoids.

Alder challenged a swordfight with a group of four knights, and he seems to be able to hold his own. Emy is fighting a brown wooden dragon that has a long coconut neck. The Coconut Dragon fired coconuts to Emy, but Emy easily dodged all of those projectiles despite being injured.

Rudolf is facing two dragons; one is a yellow one that has a thunder shaped whiskers that can shoot lightning orbs and the other dragon is a brown skinned drill-headed lizard. He is busy blocking their attacks, protecting his loved Kyrie who is unable to get up due to fatigue. But the dragons are able to chip away a dozen of percentage on his Shield Plate one by one.

"H-Help!" It was a child-like feminine voice. Her tone gives off a lot of pain. It was Eva, and she was being squeezed by a giant silver colored dragon! What the heck! Are they going to kill her!?

Airi grabbed one of my photon swords and then a jetpack materialized on her back. She took off the ground with a blinding speed and slashed the dragon's arm without any second thought! The silver arm fell off, but Eva managed to materialize her wings before colliding to the ground.

If Eva's here, where's the president?

There are a group of people clustered just a few meters from here. Those are our enemy knights, and they are ganging up with someone. Don't tell me she-

I immediately ran forward, readying my sword with an energy thrust! My glass-like saber glowed with blue light. My speed quadrupled, which made a golden streak as I ran faster far exceeding a human can ever achieve. Some knights tried to block me, but I easily swept my way through them!

All of the enemies came out flying as I cleared the way for the president, who was on her knees due to enervation. She was already at her limits, and her Shield Plate is already 4%.

"Watch out!"

I turned my head, and a terrifying end welcomed me. A gigantic orb of light, coming from a dragon's mouth. There is no way I will be able to dodge this, nor push the president out of this attack's area of effect. This...is the end of the line for me.

There was a deafening noise. Smoke covered the whole place. My Shield Plate reduces to 0%... Or so I thought. There are still 12% left for me. The president...still have 1%. I thought it was a miracle until I looked behind.

It was Alder, with his arms spread. His Shield Plate... is 0%. He took the whole projectile for us.

"...I told you to watch out..." Alder made a smirk. Then he fell on his knees.

"Why you..." I muttered. I approached him and held his shoulders.

"...Win this tournament, Amphere Harrison. Win for what you believe. Win...for dragonoid's freedom... Win this tournament because you wanted to, and not because they want you too..."

I was about to reply in his riddles, but then he passed out to my arms. The transporter approached us, and two steampunk humanoid robots carried him inside. Emy followed them worriedly, as she loves his knight much more than everything else.

Why the heck did he save me? What's with the sudden change of hearts? Why...?

I wanted to find a real motive behind the Black Phantom's actions. The alliance, the ceasefire, and the act of heroism. But as I process it on my brain, my vision became hazy. I tried blinking but it wouldn't help. Darn, we're still surrounded by enemies! I don't have time for this!

Suddenly...An image of a silver-haired woman appeared in front of me. She is not Emy. This woman is about twenty five years old, and she's wearing a kimono. She has these crimson eyes, but her sclera...is colored black. There was a terrifying aura flowing around her.

"Amphere Harrison..." Her words directly entered my brain. "Boy has the necessary power to win this fight.... I'll teach the boy...to control his power..."

A sudden surge of strength entered my veins as the image of the woman faded. My chest glowed a faint light. My right hand grabbed my left chest on its own. My lips moved involuntarily, saying these words.

"Overloading Vesryn Pulse!"

Airi, who was fighting the enemy dragon, was interrupted when her body was coated with golden light. Eva and Kyrie's body was also converted into human-shaped light. The three lights coming from the body of the dragonoids launched upwards to the sky. The lights twirled and twirled until they reach the stratosphere.

Three dragon hearts resonates with one human heart.

The three lights collided.

The heavens opened as a divine being slowly came down.

The three headed white dragon roared, beckoning the dawn of true power.
