Lily rose  out of the warm bed early in the morning. She gently rubbed her tiny eyes as she let out a yawn. She looked at the grandfather clock. Two AM. She was restless tonight. Her tiny bare feet touched the cold hardwood floor, making her draw back. After a minute of debating whether to get out of bed or not, she finally did. The faint light of moonlight shining through the window pane lit up her room eerily. Lily jumped when she saw the black figure of a tall slender woman on her wall. Her heart was racing as she walked towards it. But by the time she got close, it was gone. Terrified, she ran into her father's room.  She ran down the hallway, barely making any noise with her light feet. As she approached her father's room, she didn't feel alone anymore. Goosebumps rose on her arms and legs, the hair on her neck stood up, and her heart started to race. There was a cold breeze behind her, then a voice, so gentle and motherly whispered in her ear "It's ok baby.. Mum is here..." But then faded away.

Lily screamed.

She ripped her father's bedroom door open, and ran to his bed. Tears were running down her face. She shook her sleeping father awake.

"DAD! DAD PLEASE WAKE UP!" She said in a panic voice.

Jimmy startled awake. "Wha- What's wrong baby?" He asked in a tired voice. He held her close to his warm body, and stroked her long auburn hair.

"I... I think Mum just spoke to me..." Lily said with her body trembling. Jimmy stopped moving, and became silent. His head turned towards the window that showed the brook outside. In his gaze he saw the tree. The tree where she was murdered. A cold tear trickled down his pale face, and his emerald eyes watered with tears of loneliness, regret, and heartbreak. Lily held her father closer.

They knew it would be a rough week.
