So you've written the first chapter and are about to post it to Wattpad, before you do that however you should double-check your chapter for grammar and spelling mistakes. I can't stress this enough,  spelling mistakes annoy many readers and some readers will stop reading if they see too many of them. Most readers can ignore a few typos here and there, but anything more than that and a lot of readers will probably stop reading your story.

I recently found a program you can download online that can help you edit your chapter.  the program is called Gramarly. there is a version that you can add to Microsoft word, and there is another for your web browser. I'm not sure what countries the program is available in besides Canada and the United States. the web browser version is only available for certain web browsers. the ones I know you can get it for are Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Safari. It's been a while since I originally wrote this chapter so they may have made it available for more browsers since then, you might want to check their website if you want to get it. I downloaded the version for chrome. as well as the add-on for Microsoft word. I'm decent with Grammar and spelling, but I find that this program is still quite helpful.

before you post your chapter you should also read through it again to be sure you at satisfied with it. if you're not you may decide to rephrase certain parts of the chapter or remove an event entirely. Only post your chapter when you are completely satisfied with it.

Also if you haven't already, get an interesting cover to draw readers to your story. there are apps you can use to make your own covers, or there are other wattpad users on here who make covers, they might also be willing to make one for you. I usually use either the book covers app or the Pic Collage app.
