Chapter 8 ~ Me & This Girl

Dana P.O.V

"Okay how about...." Dalton said strumming his guitar to a random tune. Everyone groaned.

"That won't work!" Cole said throwing his notepad onto the table annoyed. I sighed leaning my head against the wall. I was BEYOND tired. I closed my eyes and almost instantly drifted off to sleep....well until..

"DANA!" Gabe shouted making me jump up. "C'mon Dana!! Get in the zone!!! we gotta finish this song!" He said slamming his hand on the table. We were all a little antsy..I mean we have been sitting here trying to write this song for almost 3 hours. 

"Well it's not my fault no one will agree on a song!" I said rolling my eyes. 

"Well I think the song I wrote sounded pretty good!" Will said matter-of-factly. We all groaned

"No offence will...but...I don't know..It's too predicitble" Genesis said with a nod. 

"Well I think MY song sounded awesome!" Gabe said crossing his arms. Cole groaned

"Gabe, you and Genesis are the only two that can sing in spanish and not sound stupid!..We are not doing it!" Cole said running his hands through his hair. 

I guess you can say this is IM5 on a REALLY bad day. Jill cleared her throat and we all looked at her.

"How about this....how about, the six of you pair up with someone and the two of you will write your own song...then once everyone has finished their songs, we can all sing them and decide which one sounds the best..I'll even call in Dan the studio guy if you want" She said with a nod. 

"Not a bad idea Jill" Dalton said raising his eyebrows.

"Great...now everyone pair up and get out of the room...I'm tired of all of your nagging" She said rolling her eyes playfully. I looked over at Genesis who was on her phone...probably on instagram or something. I got up and slowly made my way over to her. I cleared my throat making her look up.

"So umm....how about we go get some lunch and write our new hit single" I said with a wink. She smirked. 

"Well...." She said standing up "depends on who's paying?" She said with a smirk. I chuckled 

"Depends...." I said crossing my arms. She raised her eyebrows

"On?" She asked. 

"I have you know..I only pay on dates" I said trying to play it cool...honestly I felt like I was gonna pass out..What the hell am I even saying?!! She giggled

"Well then Mr Vaughns...bring your wallet" She said with a wink walking ahead of me. My eyes widened and I felt someone put an arm around me. Gabe.

"Smooth Dana...real smooth" he said sarcastically. I rolled my eyes

"Shut it Cuban!" I said shoving him playfully before running out the door to catch up to Genesis.

Genesis P.O.V

Since neither Dana or I could drive, we were stuck walking to In N out burger. The air was cool, seeing as it was winter time. I shivered slightly. Why the hell didn't I bring a thicker jacket?!! Stupid Genesis!!

"You cold?" Dana asked looking over at me. I shook my head

"I'll be fine" I said wrapping my arms around my waist to hug myself. He chuckled pulling off his hoodie and handing it to me. 

"You're so stubborn..you know that?" He said with a chuckle. I blushed slightly pulling his sweater over my head. I pulled the sweater fully on covering my hands with the sleeves..I could smell his cologne and I almost instantly got butterlfies.
